Tales of Adventure: Key quest items?

As a player who is now stranded on Balmung, I greatly appreciate the implementation of these skip items, to allow me to save myself having to do the entire main story again when I make a new character on a server my friends may join me on.

However I thought of a potential issue with this system and I'm wondering if any of you fine folks can give me some clarity (yes I've read all of the official information regarding these items provided on the dedicated site and Mogstation entries)

What happens to those particularly important items you've given as rewards for these quests? Mounts, Minions, Artifact gear.. what about the Aetherial Compass for finding flight aethers? It would be rather disappointing to be locked out of these items.

I mean you could wait about eleven hours like the rest of us who are taking a free transfer to one of the low pop realms. :P

Presumably, we'd get the major rewards from doing the quests (mounts, compass, pets, etc.), but none of the low level gear.

Well, the thing is I'd like to keep my character on Balmung. I have friends there as well. But, I talked some others into playing with me as well, so I'd like to join them on their location without having to completely redo the MSQ. I just want to know if I'm going to be missing out on a bunch of stuff if I do that.
