I say single chr purchases still outweigh the amount of people who don't buy them because its not acct-wide. Either that or SE don't care for overwhelming profit because they treat their cash shop as extra revenue instead of a highly dependent one.

I also wish that - at the very least - all gear and mounts would be account-wide.

I have several characters on different servers, and while I am always going to default to giving things to my main, I would love to have them on my alts as well.

Which, like XI, should offer previous years event items for GIL, not RL money.

They do it, at least for the gear. You only need the achievement of the previous events.

I'm in the same boat. I have six alts total. To get all the eastern-style outfits on the mog station would cost me over $300. I wish the outfits were account-wide. *sadface*

I'm sorry, I don't think that makes any sense. The cash shop exists as a revenue stream, maximizing it in a way that benefits players is an easy win for both. Neither of us has access to actual market statistics on MogStation purchases, but since there is no way to really compare the amount of people who are not purchasing things because they are character specific rather than account wide against those who purchase anyway, it's difficult to be truly accurate. That said, anecdotally from my discussions with friends and in topics such as this on the forum, there is a significant number of players who do not buy because the price is too high for single character purchases.

Single character purchases right now might outweigh the people not buying because of the account wide, but you're missing two points. By going to a two tier system I mentioned SE doesn't loose those existing buyer, but they gain people who a) would buy if the items were account wide at the current prices, and b) would buy if the single character items were less expensive. Switching to a two tier pricing system would not drive any existing customers away, so the only result is to increase the number of customers purchasing items at the MogStation.

Since these are virtual items in a subscription game, and there are no production costs per item once the initial design work is done; it's all essentially free revenue for SE.

More customers = more revenue. Seems to me, to be a fairly easy logical step to take.

This right here. I will GLADLY pay the prices in the cash shop. The Odin mount was fair and the Bennu... but $7 for an emote on one character... wtf

It's the biggest issue I have with Mogstation. I have 6 fully functional accounts, 4 on Siren and 2 on Gilgamesh at full 270. I've worked hard to do it and I pay an extra sub fee for extra characters. There is no reason why they shouldn't all be getting content I buy on mogstation. I really hope they fix it but I won't hold my breath.

Yeah, we already pay more for the sub for having more characters. The prices of the items in the MogStation are scandalously overpriced already, and they're not even account wide. They should make them account wide.
