Thank you. As for the second item, i would like to play a game that does not cater to those... "unsavoury users".
I would not be unamenable to the idea of slightly older variations Alphinaud 's and Alisaie's youthful stature, though that that to me is basically an Aura female (late teens, early twenties).
Because being associated with anything even closely to children pornographie or violating children isnt such a good thing for a buisness? What do you think would happen if people started posting pics and videos of clearly underaged characters in certain poses etc. (the male lalafell dead-emote was a real surprise to me - I can only explain it as terrible oversight)? So, people WOULD harm someone - SE - directly if they were allowed to play children.
Imagine the whole Haurchefaunt stuff with a child - or the flirtation with Aymeric (no one is going to convince me its something else!). Bäm! Just turned two heros into pedophiles!
And beside the whole sexual thing: a lot of countries tend to have a problem with violence against children aswell - and even when there is no blood in this game, it might be troubling for some of those to have a child as maincharacter, getting hurt and commit acts of violence.
As silly as that sounds as first glance: There is a reason you cant hurt children in most games. Funfact even: In the german version of one of the first Fallout games the children got simply removed because you could kill them and that would have proven to be a problem. Dont know where you're from, but germany is taking this stuff serious and I'm pretty sure SE would like to keep their 12 label.
And beside all the arguments to specifically NOT to introduce children as playable characters: It would require remodelling and we all know how motivated SE is to revisit the character creation and give us more options that arent hairstyles.
So, sorry, if you want to play child... go play Pokemon. Maybe you can get cat-ears as headwear by now?
