I played in 1.0 and in the alphas/betas and I said in the tester forums that this was going to be a problem as the game progressed further and further along. Even before glamour was a thing and prisms were out people still kept nicer pieces of gear and attached them to a gearset they could use in town and such. The glamour system added, instead of fixing the problem simply added more inventory bloat to an already broken system. I've struggled with inventory since very early on as I loved to partake in all the content I could get my hands on, crafting, raiding, glamour, etc. Inventory frustrations have led me to more breaks than pretty much all the other reasons combined and it is a problem purposely implemented so that they can charge more for subscription by forcing you to purchase more retainers.
People that say this games inventory is perfectly fine if you only play one or two classes per character seem to be missing one of the major aspects that this game expounded upon...that is the ability to play every class/craft/gatherer on a single account. The game was designed and expanded around that very motif and yet the inventory system was not. As we got more classes, more new items with each expansion our inventory did not, I watched this happen from the very beginning and it was horrifying watching predictions I had made in the alphas and betas coming to pass right in front of my eyes. This is beyond frustrating as I have played for years and struggled with inventory space nearly constantly at one point or another, leading to forced breaks when frustration built up or destroying/getting rid of items I still had use for because it was driving me insane. I play a pay to play game so I don't have to suffer through the fear of being nickle and dimed at every corner like I do in a free to play game, in this game it now seems to be acceptable to do both charge a monthly fee and charge me for features that should have been incorporated into the games very design from the start?
