Of the skills we've seen, diversion is a must take along with goad and invigorate in the melee pool and it is shocking to me that almost nobody in this thread thinks that is the case. Threat reduction tools will save your life with bad tanks and it will let good tanks spend more time in dps stance. I am completely baffled that someone would look at the currently known role skills, look at diversion and say to themselves, "naw what I really want is dat second wind."

Obvious caveats aside like no use for group skills when soloing or the unknown skills actually turning out to be direct personal dps increases, of course. My entire HW NIN career has essentially been me bemoaning that I can't smoke screen myself because I can only shadewalker so often.
