Problem with "Optional" Items in the Cash Shop

"optional" is different for everyone.
Not everyone raids not everyone needs gear or stats.
Some people play the game to design and play with their final fantasy character for this final fantasy world.

And it's kind of weird, having SE straight up admit to those players
that their entire game
is optional
and not needed.

Using this logic it would be a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" if they pretty much release anything in the mogstation because it would impact someone somewhere because of how they play the game.


Don't get me wrong, I'd love it if they released more cosmetics in-game, but they can't cater to all playstyles with every single decision they make.

Its "Optional" why are you even complaining about it? If you dont like it you can just choose to NOT buy it. The stuff on mogstation doesnt change nor effect the gameplay at all.

Micro-transactions are a permanent part of the gaming world and is no surprise that Square-enix is one of the major companies who have been pushing micro transactions. In a recent survey the majority of players are actually for micro-transactions. 57% liked micro-transactions while 52% were not for it. This has been increasing through the years as gamers are more accepting of this feature.

Isn't the stuff in the cash shop mostly just stuff they gave away for free during previous seasonal events? I've got most of that stuff on whichever characters were active when they were released. I have no problem with them offering old stuff for money to new players. I know a few are store exclusive but it's not much or pay to win or anything.

Regardless, I would not call the items on the cash shop "micro" transactions. They are absurdly overpriced.

Micro-Transactions will stay as it is easy money for the companies but would you agree that the gaming world was much better with out DLC's and PreOrders. I mean, the excitement of getting that item you grinded for 100 hours, the mystery of finding secret things and the assurance that once you bought that game, there won't be a Ultra/Omega/Final/Ultimate version that will come after a few months/years (like MVC pffttt!...)

I miss old days really.
