We already pay for it every month. Also, an eastern-inspired glamour 2 weeks before an eastern-inspired expansion that we payed $60 for?

This has been increasing through the years as gamers are more accepting of this feature.

This has absolutely zero context. Of course people are "for" micro-transactions in a game that is F2P. The opposite is true of a P2P game such as FFXIV (the whole reason this thread even exists).

The statement "Being able to purchase in-game content is important to me" is extremely ambiguous and also completely devoid of context. What do they mean by in-game content? Are they referring to free-to-play, buy-to-play, or pay-to-play games? Mobile games, RTSes, shooters, MMOs? The markets are all different, and with a statement so broad, you simply cannot use that as evidence to claim that the majority of players support the Mogstation.

You've another mistype in there - it's not for and against it, it's people who were for it in 2016 (52%) and people who were for it in 2017 (57%).

Threads like this should be deleted. Every single time we get new content on the Mog we get this rubbish. It's like spam.

I do understand why people complain about this things, I mean you:

    Buy the game
    Buy expansions
    Pay subscription

Is a good investment but in top of that also a cash shop full of cosmetic/mounts/glam. With many updates an new items..not only that but items go up to 30.00 or so? (Correct me if I'm a wrong).
I am an adult an I'm not rich but neither poor, in almost 7 years playing the game I have never buy nothing from the cash shop, not even fantasias, an never will, is OK to be greedy but not excessive.
Is not SE foul.. they are just a business an they doing what they suppose to be doing...making money..
If someone is to be blame is the player base that keep buying..an yes prices will keep going up because why not? Same people are gonna keep paying for it.
This is just my personal opinion on how I see things.
ps: please someone post a meme of a very rich guy.

You don't stop to think why threads like this keep being created? It's blatantly obvious that many people are not happy with how the mogstation is being handled (priced mostly). If you have nothing of value to add to the thread why even bother posting?

Did people grind the Odin Trial for a mount like they do almost every trial? Nope, so it does impact the game.

They grinded it for gear for a while.

But your right. Mog station items do effect the game. They helped pay for the EU datacentre.

This modern day issue with gaming has been discussed many times.
Companies exist for profit and if you want to be a successful company you need to find ways to milk the cow as much as you can without killing it.
Consumers are also to blame for this. Consumers have the half responsibility of what happens in the industry.
Companies experimented with that and people baited so now it's the new standard like it or not. We made it successful and we are responsible for that.
Pre-orders, cash shops and DLC's are a standard thing now. As long as people still fall over it it's gonna be everywhere. XIV is no exception.

In fairness, it's a lopsided battle: Consumers are usually far more disorganized than companies (much like employees), which is why their bargaining power and prowess tends to be fairly limited and things such as labor/trade unions become necessary. I don't think that kinda thing exists for consumers yet.
