Questions regarding Stormblood Pre-orders or Collector's Edition

Hello! I've been trying to look around and just want to be able to confirm something.

I pre-ordered the digital version of SB and was wondering if along with many others that I would be charged SB on May 29th? I have not gotten any sort of email or notification yet about it.

Stormblood is not out, but ARR and HW are already out and that is my complaint; those are already released product. I don't care about him not being able to access SB, but the fact is this is a game that you register a code to your account and have access to it. With the purchase, an early access code was given for Stormblood, meaning that I paid for it, knowing he would get an early access code, so my friend should be able to play ARR and HW then later join us in SB, but didn't know that his EA code was useless because he can't even register that he has paid for ARR and HW. So, buying the Complete Edition, getting an EA code, but STILL having to buy a copy of ARR and HW (which are paid for with the Compplete Edition) to play. It made sense, buying it all in one fell swoop, assuming that since you have early access to SB, that you would get access to ARR and HW at the same time but I see now that it was a dumb move, and I guess I am wrong for assuming that.

I doubt it. I think there was some sort of ban on that during HW EA but I could be wrong.

No there wasn't. I know of a lot of people who streamed HW on early access and nobody said anything. This isn't Persona, lol.

Preordered back in February, was charged on the spot as well due to ordering a chocobo plush in the same cart. Mog Station hasn't updated yet that I have early access, nor any sign of having Stormblood on my account at all. I've registered the game code and the early access code. Does anyone know when those things will update? I'm afraid something's wrong and I won't be in on early access

I don't know what platform you're on, if you ordered physical or digital copy etc. I can just explain it for PC via the Square Enix Store.

If you pre ordered the expansion, you have gotten an e-mail that confirms your purchase, this e-mail will have a 18 digit code in it, you need to go to the redeem webpage and enter that code, this code then generates another code.

Now open the mog station, click account, double check if it's the right account if you have more then one, click on add early access code (do not click enter item code, that's a different thing). Confirm, and follow the on screen instructions. After that, it will tell you thank you for registering your early access code, also you have gotten another email by that time, that confirms the code you generated as you redeemed your product key.

This code is different from the actual cd key/product registration key or whatever you want to call that. So don't mix up the codes, might want to double check.

Now if you click on account again on the mog station, there should be a little O next to the stormblood expansion and that's it. If you ordered collectors editions you'll be able to redeem that code at the launch of the expansion (June 20th) via the enter item code button.

In your case, if you log on the mog station and still see the enter code for early access button, then you have not done it correctly since that button disappears upon successfully registration. This might be different when it comes to other platforms then pc.

Sorry, I did not give enough information. I preordered a physical CE for PS4, and I do recall redeeming 2 different codes, with the final being the early access code. However the "O" is not present.

With physical copies, the game registration code will come in the box itself when it's delivered. The only one you'd get through email is the pre-order (early access) code.

I believe it still uses a somewhat roundabout pattern, though, where you need to register the emailed code on one (SE) site, which simply gives you a PSN code in exchange that you then need to register on your PSN account. (And apparently a similar pattern but with MogStation rather than PSN for PC versions.)
