Sorry, I did not give enough information. I preordered a physical CE for PS4, and I do recall redeeming 2 different codes, with the final being the early access code. However the "O" is not present.

With physical copies, the game registration code will come in the box itself when it's delivered. The only one you'd get through email is the pre-order (early access) code.
I believe it still uses a somewhat roundabout pattern, though, where you need to register the emailed code on one (SE) site, which simply gives you a PSN code in exchange that you then need to register on your PSN account. (And apparently a similar pattern but with MogStation rather than PSN for PC versions.)

Okay cool. After having checked back in my emails, I did find one email to confirm the order and register on a special SE site for Stormblood. Then another email I got in February with the early access code to register through PSN. But the Mog Station never updated and it worried me a bit. So what happens during early access if I don't have my physical copy to register? Do I still get access but get booted on the 20th till it's registered?
This part I don't have an answer for. It really seems about time for SE to jump in and provide that answer themselves, since a few players have had questions/concerns about it.
With just the pre-order code but without the final game registration code, you'd get access during the early access period, but will have to register the game code soon after the official release or else lose that access. (It probably won't happen right away on the 20th, though. They've previously had a short grace period to give everyone a chance to receive and register their copies of game. So effectively, the early access code covers from a few days before the 20th through a few days after the 20th. I'm just not sure exactly how long that grace period is.)
Somewhere it stated that you'll have one week (maybe it was the last live letter?), after the official launch of Stormblood to register your key. This won't effect early access, since you're able to log into the game and play it, including the expansion with the pre order code you've registered. That means, if you logged out in old ARR and HW area's, depending on the expansions you've have currently registered and been playing, you will have no issues to log back into the game, but won't be able to access the SB area's/map till you've have successfully registered the product key that comes with your physical copy.Okay cool. If you logged out in an SB area, after the expiration of this given time frame, you won't be able to log into the game at all, on that character that's in the SB area, till you registered the key. Hope it helps.

I'm sorry if this has already been answered I just want to know for sure that I didn't mess something up. I bought the digital CE for ps4 and its in my items where I can see the countdown for when I can download EA. However I also pre ordered the physical version of the CE on ps4 for my GF. All the codes went in and everything but its not showing stormblood in her items. So she has no countdown date on when she can actually download EA. Is this normal? I'm just worried because I don't want to play without her on early access.

This next question doesn't really affect me, but I'm asking because a friend is interested.
I know Complete Collection buyers won't get EA to SB content, but they can still play through ARR and HW just normally, right? They'd have to either get one of those potions or just level SUPER FAST to come to the roadblock of SB content, correct?
Just wanting to know if my friend would still be able to play ARR+HW normally during SB EA.
The Complete Collection isn't going to be released until Stormblood is, so your friend cannot get anything from it until the 20th.
Would have gotten the collectors (again) ... but after all the weird changes and updates right after the pre-order launch, changes which impoverished the game-play experience here, we’ll just go with basic first, as we do still want to play, but we are angry. And to paint the whole picture; other people will do the exact opposite because that’s how SE seems to ‘manage’ their game in the middle of the re-launch. Appalling.

We now know what these changes are but they already said that changes to the battle system were coming in SB a while ago.Would have gotten the collectors (again) ... but after all the weird changes and updates right after the pre-order launch, changes which impoverished the game-play experience here, we’ll just go with basic first, as we do still want to play, but we are angry.
