Funny you bring those up, a lot of the naysayers to official parsers are Healers in those threads.
And people really need to stop using the word "Bully" to talk about pro-dps'ers. It's like calling all rightwingers Nazi's. It's silly.

Pretty sure I saw a roughly 60+ page large thread somewhere here about the upcoming changes, consisting of witchhunting, accusations, trolling and insults.

I mean, it's a strange comment to make. When you bring up getting an official parser you get people who are for it and people who are against it. Similarly, when you bring up healer DPS you have people who are for it and people who are against it. The forum community doesn't want any one specific thing, individual people have varying opinions on a wide range of different topics. One person could like healer DPS and hate parsers, one person could hate healer DPS and love parsers, etc. etc.

Though the forum community swings heavily towards anti-parser and pro-healer dps from what manage to pick up from the bigger posts about them, and those are the ones I am referencing to.
Of course, there's also reddit and other places of communities you can access to about FF14, yet for the most people the official boards are their first stop.

I'd be willing to bet that many players who support healer DPS also support in game parsers. At least I most definitely do.

I can see the point of in-game parsers now. At the very least, I can yell at the healers for trying to sabotage my DPS by forcing me to deal with mechanics!

I don't support parsers because I do not trust the mass based with what me and my friends experienced (with them, seeing their stories, hearing others, seeing their SS, and my own experiences.) You can get a good feel who is slacking off though with just being observant. Because of this, people tend to be more civil then they would be with a praser. I only seen one, non-toxic convo that resulted from someone using a praser, and that is because someone was asking for numbers on a lore farm. My friend kept switching jobs to see what would result in faster runs from someone asking another for numbers. Ill never forget this line "Sure we have a DPS above 2k now, but now we lost healer DPS resulting in the same speed" (At first my friend was whm while the other person was on brd)

If people can't be civil on mass scale with parsers being regarded as a 3rd party tool you shouldn't be using, why in the hell would I support in game parsers?
