I've experienced a new personal hell - trying to heal a WAR in The Vault, while he was sporting level 54 crafted NQ gear (I can deal with that), Ironworks Accessories (...I can deal with that), and a freakin' Brand-New Ring. Yeah, the one from the Hall of the Novice.

Charibert almost ate him alive, and I was out of MP. (Frankly, I'm shocked we made it through the DPS check, the DPS were undergeared as well. And I was terrified to use CS...)

Cleric Stance isn't being taken out, just being readjusted into a buff.

I should have just left that bit out of my post. But I was heated when I wrote it and was taking my frustrations out on the stance. Fact is, CS isn't the main issue here. It's healers not doing their jobs. It's like Aramina stated above, the problem was that they weren't healing me at all, not that they were healing in CS. I realize that the adjustments to CS won't necessarily improve this issue. Just me venting, honestly lol

Queued up for Dusk Vigil with my Galka body guards. War, blm, and me on bard. We get matched with an astro. Quick check of their gear tells me they are in there for the relic, too! I notice they don't have a sect on, so I gently remind them not to forget it... They have no idea what I'm talking about. After watching them cast aspected benefic without a stance, I remind them again. They put it up, give me a little attitude, and we move on. First boss they run out of mana due to the constant AB and regen on everyone. We get through the first and second boss and we realize they haven't used a single card. Politely ask if that is the case and they very enthusiastically answer "nope!" After that exchange, they gave me a spear card and use a bole on themselves. That is it. I hate the term, but I was triggered. My Galkas had to calm me down afterwards, that ast hurt my heart.

It's a sad night when you make it to PotD Floor 197, get ambushed by two wandering Ahrimans AND a Gravekeeper, and the only person left alive is neither a SMN or healer, and has no Phoenix Down. And the Cairn is not active. AND there are no rage pomanders. ;____;

Back to PF and Floor 51 for me. ;___; So close. So freaking close. Can't give up when I'm that close to making it!!
At least killing people in the Feast made me feel a little better. And I got the gold Garo horse mount thing from it lol. Would like that Gloria mount, too, though.

Oh hell, I know that feel. My FC and I ended up on floor 197 and I got cheeky and pulled 2 trash packs into a luring trap and got us deleted. And then our second go through we got to 198 or 199 and we ended up with no abilities + no items and we had no serenity and at least 7 wandering chimeras. Thankfully we got it on our third attempt... never again.

Funny, I just cleared Floor 200 of Palace for the fourth time. and I think you mean 189, chimeras don't spawn past the 190 floor.

Certain compositions work better in PotD, and Paladin is arguably the best tank for the job. Warrior is okay, Dark Knight is almost gimping yourself. I personally also like to take a dps that has their own silence to help with the cc.

I recently got dragged into Dun Scaith again and since my bow is still in need of light, I picked my bard for the job.

Half way through the Scathat-fight the WHM asks me to play ballad, which confused me a little - no one had died, there wasnt much healing required and when he asked me, he was happily casting Stone III but was indeed down to 2k MP. So I switched from Foes to Ballad but couldnt help to ask him what had happend to his MP - and I got the answer I had already guessed "I was dpsing".
Now let me say: I LOVE healer-dps and nothing annoys me more than a healer just standing/jumping around, doing nothing. However its still your job to manage your mana decently and you dont ask your bard to play ballad so you can dps more... I immidiatly stopped, told them that its lowering the damage I'm dealing as bard and that I rather sing Foes for our blm than ballad for a healer who cant balance mp and dps. His reaction: "Oh, I dont know that [that its lowering a bards damage]" and didnt ask for it again. That wouldnt have been to bad in general, a healer probably doesnt know how a bard works... but I then checked the profile of that whm. Bard at level 60, and, if their profile discription was accurate, with an ilvl of 261 - higher than their healer. This person leveled bard to 60, collected endgame-gear but never bothered to really look into their skills...

@Vidu, I was in duty with a bard this past weekend who had a macro every time he put up Mages Ballad (which he would do when the healers were in no way low on MP. )

His macro was essentially "yes I just put Ballad up, no it doesn't lower my damage"

I told him that wasn't correct and he ought to check his tool tip. No response. After we wiped (it was a synced extreme trial) he put up Mages Ballad again almost instantly. I wanted to facepalm. I told him again that wasn't correct and he really ought to check his tool tips. It's Foes that doesn't lower his personal damage...maybe he thought he was putting that one up...
