Also how do we know characters can have sex? Does it say in the lore that we actually have reproductive organs? I know for one I have no bulge :P

How did this post even garner likes? Borderline hate speech.millions of straight players play this game and majority of them prob hate the idea of LGBT let along see it in their game. no Final Fantasy game ever gone LGTB before and I doubt this one will.. business needs to cater to the majority, not the minority.
not to mention some country like China, where Chinese Society of Psychiatry declassified homosexuality as a mental disorder, will prob ban FF14 if there is slightly suggestion of LGBT in it.
That's just sad.![]()

♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥

Keep sexual orientation, real world politics and religion out please. I support LGBT in real life but I play gamers to avoid that drama.

slightly off-topic, but now I really need to ask:
is this like, some special murican thing? to have these 2 extreme camps of anti-LGBT and "LGBT IS LIFE. WE NEED RECOGNITION!!!11"?
Just asking because I see these "LGBT-only" LS/Discord "advertisements" only (or mainly) for NA while most of my FCs in EU had at least 1-2 homosexual ppl (that I knew of)
and they just blended in with the rest...ofc they werent "YAAAAY LGBT IN YO FACE!" but they certainly didnt hide they were gay. And IMO, thats the best way to normalize anything LGBT-related: Blending in.
I can only speak on behalf of what I've seen but it seems to be mainly fine on EU servers?
I blame the heightened taboo present in American culture. It makes people want to hide and form groups that share interests. Is that healthy? Not my place to say.
Let's not forget this is still stereotyping. I have seen an LGBT free company on my server and I am on EU. If it can happen in the US then it can happen on EU servers.
That's what it all comes down to, taboo. If you see a taboo then you want to break it by making the conversation easier on us. LGBT characters can do that is what people think.
If you don't see a taboo then all you see is people sticking their noses where it doesn't belong and fixing what wasn't broken in the first place.
Pick your poison.

i never said it cant happen on EU. It just seems to be a bigger deal in NA, or US specifically.I blame the heightened taboo present in American culture. It makes people want to hide and form groups that share interests. Is that healthy? Not my place to say.

If males dont even have nipples, why should we bother about LGBT? xD
But seriously, at what part of the game does it matter, what kind of sexual orientation a character prefers? To be honest, I think the question about H or LGBTTQQIAAP actually belongs to RP (or ERP).
btw: I believe, that Alphinaud and/or Alisaie are actually transgender >: )

Nah we're around plenty on EU, though we're not LGBT *only* just primarily. Straight peeps are always welcome to join but usually find no real reason to stay (other than for friends). As for the rest of your post that's pretty much how it is on EU in my experience while our NA members tend to face more issues (and also the trolls we get tend to be NA). Europe is generally pretty far ahead for acceptance/rights though so it's to be expected.
