So if I que into something on either my BRD and MCH and the healers are dry on MP or others drained their TP for what ever reason. My argument could be it's not my job to provide you with resources and I didn't sign up to help you i'm just here to dps things.
Well, the only thinng I kick people for is AFK and offline. If the rest of the community want to be assholes that's on them. I'll leave it at that.If we're going to technical, a Black Mage spamming Blizzard or a Dragoon single targeting mobs in large pulls are still performing the role they signed up for. After all, they are dealing damage. It may be severely gimped damage, but it's damage nonetheless. Keep in mind, the devs allot us 90 minutes for a dungeon run. So long as it's completed within that timeframe, it's technically successful.
Kicking a healer who refuses to DPS (mandatory disclaimer: after being politely asked to do so and without them giving any reason for it other than "nah don't wanna") is like kicking any other party member who refuses to be a team player: a BRD who considers singing isn't part of their job, a SMN who refuses to raise a dead healer because "they're a DPS" and so on. You may consider kicking these people as "being an a**hole", I consider being one of those people as being one (again, refusing to support your team when you could easily do so and you don't have any other reason for it other than you just don't want to bother).
Pretty sure by this point Thunda Cat is purely functioning as devil's advocate for troll purposes.
I view it as abuse of the vote kick feature. If it passes clearly enough people agreed with the request.Kicking a healer who refuses to DPS (mandatory disclaimer: after being politely asked to do so and without them giving any reason for it other than "nah don't wanna") is like kicking any other party member who refuses to be a team player: a BRD who considers singing isn't part of their job, a SMN who refuses to raise a dead healer because "they're a DPS" and so on. If you guys don't stop pushing this Healers must DPS or get kicked junk...The meta is the (loose) rules. You are free to play however you want as per any game, but don't expect other people to want to play with you.
a) "Poorly Drawn Troll Post" - Sorry I didn't find the next Mona Lisa in meme form for you.
b) Didn't realise that pressing one button in between heals was unreasonable. Guess I was defying all odds everytime I played healer.
c) If you actually gain some reading comprehension instead of glossing over posts, you'll see that literally no one has said they will force people to DPS. I will point out a healer not DPSing - if they say they are new or don't feel that great today (I know I play much more passively when I've got a cold), then I'm all game to let them stay. However, if they respond as aggressively as you do and screech about how they pay for the game (guess what, so do I), I'm gonna kick them to the curb faster than light.
The Devs are going to end up nerfing Healer DPS into the ground.
You never thought that through did you?
They don't want people scamming the queuing system by playing a healer so they can play a DPS class.
They expect you to play a healer... not a half assed DPS class because people didn't have the attention span for the wait time.
If the quality of healing starts to drop... guess what's going to happen?
No, I just said that you didn't get it. That's why people already answered you about that.
I personally want people to do their best and contribute to their maximum in a group. Judging by your other answers, you don't think the same.
Not everyone has a high tolerence regarding mediocrity and self entitlement as you do.
Being a casual doesn't give you a free pass at not following basic respect rules and etiquette. That's what people in this thread want to enforce. So even "casuals" (I'm just using your word) know that it'd be a good idea to be credit to team instead of letting themselves be carried by players who actually give a sh*t about playing how their role was designed.

Should we start kicking tanks that don't use defensive cool downs, which require far more healing?
Should we kick DPS for not using mitigation CDs or moving out of AOEs?
I'm arguing the vote kick aspect of this topic. Throwing up a few dots as a healer, especially in 4.0 is not difficult.
Who cares if they nerf healer DPS? I sure don't (ok, maybe I care a little since I can pull higher numbers on AST then quite a few DPS WHILE still healing). I'll still ask healers to DPS as well as DPS myself. The point of asking healers to DPS is about uptime and equal contribution not numbers. 400 DPS may be worse than 1500, but is still better than 0.If you guys don't stop pushing this Healers must DPS or get kicked junk...

If the quality of healing drops across the board (which would be impressive because it's already bottom of the barrel), they won't do anything about it. Healing cannot get any simpler unless they remove it from the game completely. 90% of the time, I hit my Regen and go on my merry way.
Talk about slippery slope thinking.
Yes? DPS and Tanks are not immune to getting kicked for being lazy. Just like healers are not immune.Should we start kicking tanks that don't use defensive cool downs, which require far more healing?
