Square you need to streamline the main story

I know a lot of people may defend Square on this.
But there are aprox 184 main story quests to finish ARR

I started a new account and i understand why most of my friends quit this game before even entering Heavensward.
Also Jobs shouldn't have been walled like this.

I even dare to say that at least 60% of the main quests are there to just waste time.
I know this is a story based MMORPG and i like that But not this way tbh.
I just saw Heavensward quests and there are 138 main quests, i wonder how many of them are filler up.

There has to be a way to avoid this without paying (story potion) because this would look intentional.

For a veteran player this wouldn't be a problem because you can tackle the quests as soon the new patch is released but for a new player.......

IF i was just button pressing when doing all the 50 i wouldn't say anything, but when reading them, TBH from 1 to 50 and all those post 50, there is a good chunk of quests that doesn´t add to the main story.

So in order to unlock lets say dark to tank (because bored of paladin) i have to pick tea leaves for someone, i have to go to someone so he says hi and then minphilia, oh comeback , i mean the ls pearl we have i just use it to sound cool, you have to come back here for me to say hi again. i have to go babysit tataru because she decided to mine,( there is no other scion or even a DOMA refugee to do this.)
Why not make a hard or extreme trial to unlock heavensward jobs and be done with it.
People defend the lore in this game, but there are a lot a lot of things in this game that break the lore
