A story from a run of PotD floors 51-60 late 2 nights ago. Party consisted of I think it was monk(me), a warrior, a lancer, and an arcanist. Not much conversation but on one floor both the lancer and arcanist run into the next room to grab a silver chest, the arcanist gets low on health on a mob they fault, and then they both run to the silver chest to open it and it was a bomb so the arcanist dies. Upon reviving the arcanist, they slap the lancer, on the next floor the lancer slaps the arcanist, than the arcanist gets mad at the lancer and calls them out blaming the lancer for causing him to die, they have a little back and forth with each other and the arcanist tried to kick the lancer twice, both failed so I initiated a kick on the arcanist which passed, told the lancer and we went on our way through the dungeon and got a healer to join in at floor 60.

The projection is strong.

The only person who's even mentioned projection at all is you. Is that your only defense against anything someone else brings up? And I can assure you that I have reminded people to LB countless times, only to be ignored completely.

I pretty much exclusively run BLM, so caster LB is something i try to pay attention to in dungeon content. In the 24 man raids, i tend to ignore it unless someone calls it out - assuming either a melee will use it or that we're saving it for an emergency. So the list i saw earlier missed a couple good ones, which ill put below. However, i never get upset at anyone for using it early. I can always double/triple flare after my first aoe round to make up for some of the lost damage.

Vualt - Theres a big pull upstairs with... i think 2 knights and 3 sets of soldiers?
ARF - The electrical nodes - personally i set it off as soon as the chimera comes into range on the 2nd node, melting all the little guys plus it and doing a good chunk to the node itself
Neverreap - The big group before the last boss while youre dodging dropsy effects
Fractal - The first set of mobs right before the last boss is decently sized
Antitower - While going down the up staircase, the first room with the centaurs vikings and mages
Sohr Kai - On the way to the second boss, the big dangerous pull with 2 anzus 5 chicklets 2 tsunales and a griffin
Hullbreaker Hard - Tiger + 5 gorillas between first and second boss
Gubal, Sohm Al, and the Wall already mentioned - The one at the end of the wall is especially satisfying

Ive also been known to toss it off on smaller random fights if the healer and tank start arguing and i think one of them is about to wipe us to prove a point.

In my opinion using Dissipation was your biggest mistake.
It's literally never worth using. The 20% boost to your heals is terrible. Firstly it doesn't impact Lustrate or Indomnibiity. And secondly getting a 20% buff on Psykick isn't worth losing the potency of Embrace for.

If your Psykicks hit for ~5k on average then under Dissipation they'd hit for ~6k. Which is pretty lame compared to a 5k Psykick and 3k Embrace from your fairy..

Theres also the almost 2,000 MP cost of getting your fairy back once Dissipation wears off

You'd probably have been better off using Emergency Tactics with Adlo. For the extra heal boosts.

From a healing perspective Dissipation is pretty much never worth it.

The main benefit of Dissipation is the aetherflow stacks, not the healing bonus. You do get three additional Lustrates from it, so it is useful as a clutch tool if you're out of aetherflow stacks and your tank is about to die and you just need to get through the next 10 seconds. The healing bonus is there so that you don't entirely cripple your healing potential due to the loss of the fairy.

That said, the number of times I've actually needed to use it can be counted on one finger, so I agree it could definitely use some improvement to give it a more more consistent functionality.

P.S. Im pretty sure it does affect Lustrate and Indomitibilty, since they're potency based heals. Lustrate used to be percent based, but they nerfed that to be potency healing because SCH could use it during Cleric Stance at full potency.

Well that's stupid. And the tool-tip is inaccurate then since it says it's a 20% boost to "potency-based healing" which both Lustrate and Indomitibility are. Not that I don't believe you, but going to test to be sure, since it really SHOULD be that way if it isn't.

Edit: Blech... looks like they changed to tooltip from "potency-based healing" to "healing magic potency" at some point.

Just did leveling Roulette with my SCH alt.

...I got AURUM VALE.

With a newbie tank PLD (First time), and a newbie BRD (Not first time but had a sprout) and a MNK.

The tank clumsily pulls the whole first room, steps in yellow a bit, but its super chill. Even I accidentally pull some mobs. >>;

No panic. DPS do their job, Tank does their job (They were a pretty Femroe btw ♥)

I give some small tip before each boss fight.

No deaths in any fights, no trouble, period.

It was beautiful.

She recognized me?! :O Omg! And now I feel bad for not saying anything but I was focused more on making sure people weren't derping and attacking the same sanuwa as their debuff (like it usually goes in there). Tell her I said hi, and that I do remember her! I hope you two are doing well! ^^

To be fair, she didn't say anything either, she actually asked me to apologize to you for not saying something. It's funny you mention the debuffs since she asked me at least 4 times which one she was supposed to attack...poor Bismark, people forgetting his mechanics. She says hi as well, and that she still reads this thread everyday and she's sorry that you keep bumping into durps in the duty finder lately. We're both doing really well, thank you for asking. Maybe a little tired waiting for Stormblood if anything.

(Yeah, her ISP seems to be killing off their hamsters this week. Makes me a little glad I'm not visiting right now.)

(edit)My turn for a duty finder story...except I am the durp. I was doing Expert by myself on reset night. I was pretty exhausted so I went tank for the quick queue. I don't know what happened, but I managed to go the wrong way in a linear dungeon about 5-6 times and I was being really sloppy (pun intended) with my aggro. I turned off my PC as soon as the run was over and promptly went to bed. I don't think I'll be doing the same thing next week.
