^^^^^^^^^^^^^^You're not on the highway, you're still paddling your tricycle around your street.
People on the highway are trying to get to their job on time (dps-check) but their boss (the Boss) is a tight-ass with schedules because he hates them and wants to see them fired (wipe). Did you get that analogy?
Your responses are just "it's only a game, tryhards" "I play for fun lmao"
Also: "Tank took a crit just as I popped Cleric Stance"
If that's an issue it just means you're not more than capable at stance-dancing.
This post is nothing but a series of insults and veiled insults. Are you trying to persuade someone or just be insulting?
No, it does not work like that.I've always thought Cleric Stance was a terrible design. It's awkward and half the time doesn't even turn off properly when you hit it. Remove Cleric and balance healer damage to be slightly lower than what it would've been in Cleric to even out the marginally higher DPS uptime from no longer having to stance dance.
removing clearic stance will not make more people play healer.
It would more likely cause less people to play healer in this game.
Oh, i've done it toooons of times while trying to master the stance dance way back before potd where we needed to fate/dungeon grind up to 60. It was through the blood of my tanks that I was able to learn it properly haha
This is, IMHO, the biggest problem that FFXIV faces as an MMORPG. There are three roles in the trinity, not one. If what you're saying is true, then we should all re-roll DPS and forget about anything else. I know that's not what you are suggesting, but that first sentence of yours perfectly describes the biggest thing wrong in this game and community as far as I am concerned. If it's really true, it makes the game one dimensional.
[QUOTE=Ama_Hamada;4132713]No, it does not work like that.

/QUOTE]
Thats just an assumption , thats like saying tanks would stop tankin if you remove their ot stance which is certainly not true at all. Cleric stance is fun in its on right but its not the only reason why people heal, I mean look at simply how much people dont even wana dps at all.
On that logic this thread is an assumption, removing cleric stance WILL NOT increase the amount of people playing healers, it will only decrease it. I seen lots of people say here and there they will not play it if you take away clearic stance and any hit to DPS because healing has too much downtime in this game and boring. That quote I quoted was basically saying you do less damage but have more up time to offset it, and that is completely false.Thats just an assumption , thats like saying tanks would stop tankin if you remove their ot stance which is certainly not true at all. Cleric stance is fun in its on right but its not the only reason why people heal, I mean look at simply how much people dont even wana dps at all.
Also you said your self why it would not magically increase the amount of people that play healers.
It's not people forgetting most of the time, it's either accidentally hitting it, the button itself being unresponsive (why is the toggle off on the GCD anyway?), and the fact that you have to wait the full cooldown to turn it off. Even Yoshi-P said he didn't like it.
To start out? of course not. But there are people that are used to way things are, and as said, I know there is a good number of people that will stop playing healer if their damage is taken away with cleric stance because people said this a lot in varying posts here.
Pure healing in this game is boring, there is too much downtime.
I am siding with he does not like how the community reacts to each other about healer DPS more then the ability itself.
As for the button being unresponsive, everything in this game is like that, if you hit x ocgd it too soon after another ocgd or a gcd while on cd too soon, it will not work.

I agree with Ama, I think that cleric stance is one of those things that healers enjoy because it lets you switch your focus from pure heal to damage, and back again. It's part of the skill of being a healer. Removing it, and dumbing down the job turns healers into nothing but DPS hybrids. White Mage and conjurer are much purer healers than say Arcanist into scholar/summoner or Card dealer into fortune tell...er...astrolog...er I man Astrologian. Switching from one to the other and back again fits the character of the role/class for CNJ/WHM. Just as transposing from fire to ice and back to fire fits THM/BLM.
