It's in the lore book itself, but it is also stated and implied subtly in the game prior to the lore books release. The Mhachi raid gives more details though. I can look for the actual page and quotes if you like but if you have the book just read the entries on Mhach and Ul'dah, and Nym and Limsa, you'll see. Now , I'm not stating the cities only had Lalafells, just that they were primarily Lalafells; Like Limsa is Roegadyn, Ishgard is Elezen, and Ala Mhigo is Hyur.
