I'm fine with the +10 for armory. But I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed on just +40 for inventory. Of course, if they plan to add more after judging server stability, suppose I'll just have to wait and see.

I can totally agree with following the Glamour Prism example for things like Dark Matter and Carbonized Matter. Although, I tend to just carry stacks of Grade 6 Dark Matter and Grade 5 Carbonized rather than the individual grades. But I'm not totally against them just making "Carbonized Matter" and "Dark Matter." I can also agree with doing something with those mats where they are only used in one specific recipe. Either expand on their usage, or just get rid of them completely.

With CUL, I guess I'll have to see how demanding the SB recipes are. I know that, while leveling, I struggled with inventory and retainer space for CUL, but now that I'm level 60, there's only certain foods that I tend to craft for personal use, so I just keep mats for those items. If they're going to revamp CUL's recipe requirements, can they also do something about FSH? I have more unused fishing tackle/baits than I do unused CUL mats. :c

Added comment to fishing, thank you.

As for the rest, I do agree that HW went way overboard with how many items were needed for basic materials. I don't want to gather a whole stack of materials and barely be able to make anything. But I don't want to see less variety in items. The main thing I miss from 1.0's original crafting was the insanely detailed item lists, and the further we get from that, the sadder I get. For items that only have one use, why not just sell them? Why keep obsidian if it's not used for anything? It's not like it's difficult to get more if in the future you should ever need it.
is it 27 or 26 with SB jobs? regardless I feel armory should be whatever that is and double it. If they are going to poke at having pvp gear being significant and so on, double should be the minimum, so armory space should be 42.

From what was said +10 for every armory suggests +10 items in every armory position, so +10m weapons, +10 headgear, etc... It kind of has to be that way because if you have 1 primary weapon for all jobs an DoH/DoL, I don't think you would have room for the addition of 2 new jobs without adding extra slots per armory position.

Fishing could be fixed so easily with the addition of a tackle box and keep net.

Please. Please give me a tackle box.
Or at the very least revamp some of the baits, and get rid of the ones where you need it only to catch that one obscure fish...
Cut down on the ARR baits--I already enjoyed HW fishing more than ARR fishing because the fact that there weren't 500 different kinds of baits.

I would actually really like a feature added to the Fish Guide that shows ideal baits for each fish; it can either be comprehensive or just show "Top 3 Ideal Baits"; either works for me. I know we have tons of external sites for looking up such things, but I still think an in-game feature of ideal bait would be a nice QoL addition.

You can already get rid of pretty much every ARR bait right now since a housing area npc can sell all the consumable ones.

They didn't mention retainers, as far as I know, But if they were affected, it would presumably be +70 per retainer, because the increase is +10 per inventory page.

The problem is that dark matter and particularly carbonized matter are very different from glamour prisms. Glamour prisms all had the exact same recipe, and were divided only arbitrarily. If you combined dark matter, the pricing would be tricky. If you leave it at the grade 6 price, low-level crafters couldn't afford to repair their gear, and at the grade 1 price, its effect as a gil sink would be almost entirely muted. Carbonized matter is another story because it's gated behind gathering, and any combining would immediately ruin that concept. Plus, as you pointed out, you can already use a higher-grade of either if you want to, which achieves the goal of using less inventory space. So why would they enforce that in-game? Just give people the options.

They need higher gil sinks anyway, the costs of repairs is not enough so it is still pointless. Maybe it be a different story if they greatly increased NPC repair cost and the matter costs but right now they are not achieving the goal of a gil sink because it is not enough and we have huge inflation. So I thought because they cant give us enough space why not just remove them and find gil sinks elsewhere? Also if you are doing grade 5 to repair grade 1-4 you might as well repair npc because grade 5 is still too much to repair grade 1.

For the materia matter, it is why I buy grade 3/4/5, 1 and 2 are pretty useless and often grade 3 is less then 1 and 2??????????? So even keeping it as is, it is still a mess.

I know, 35 slots is not enough!!!!! they are not covering what we should got HW, PLUS SB, PLUS future SB.

    42 minimum
