because a guy would actually have to design these items. as a legacy player if someone were to design new items, they should be obtainable via in-game means for all current subscribers.
The only reason I would say this is ok is from being standalone, meaning they can't mingle with us ever if I understand correctly. So that and the fact they did not have 1.0 why does it matter that point? If they do this on the na/jp side I'm done.
I always said this is the final straw for me. Seeing as how it was our exclusive reward I don't really agree with this...at all. Th fact that they did not have 1.0 does not justify it imho. Without legacy players they wouldn't even be playing their game.
So how much money would that equate to?

Without legacy players they wouldn't even be playing their game.
I already stated my pov lol.

Because WoW and the majority of MMOs never went through what XIV had. That's honestly why I can see that you don't understand or care. It's not about having something cool at all for me. I literally consider it a complement/reward from SE for sticking with and helping them as I did spend the time to submit bugs since 1.0 Alpha all the way to ARR and completed the content involved.I'll never understand why some people get their panties in a bunch when items lose their exclusivity. It literally has no impact on your thing when someone else has it, too.
I had a bunch of exclusive stuff in WoW, and I never gave a shit if the items became more common. It doesn't make mine less cool somehow.
Part of the reason I can see why they did the Legacy Chocobo was due to the delayed release of Chocobos in the game. 1.0 players having to spend hours getting everywhere and when the zones were large and copy/paste.
It does have an impact on many Legacy players as SE stated several times not only their appreciation, but also it is truly exclusive to those players. Unlike, SE Shop and other promo materials.
Having it on a dedicated Chinese version doesn't bother me as it's a completely different market and restrictions.

So what...?They didn't have 1.0!There's nothing wrong with that
But that's what I just said. Just give legacy players limited exclusive items, then give them to the rest of the playerbase based on playtime. Legacy players and long time players should be rewarded often for the commitment to the game.

Thats what Veteran rewards were but they are going away because people are too concerned the new players won't see those items for years (cause we didn't wait years ourselves?) and apparently its not fair to hold items on such a long reward system! People whined and cried and complained the little hearts out and now a new system is coming that rewards anyone and anything for playing, even if its not longterm.

It's funny because a lot of people didn't play 1.0 because of legacy players and the scathing reviews about how bad the game was. I know I was about ready to hop on board until I started reading up. The legacy rewards were a pretty good hook to move what subscriber base they had into the launch of ARR. Now that they have steady subscription base going, marketing is going to be looking at everything they can to get money out of their current customers.
