Now with nVidia Surround!!!
MicroATX Desktop - i7 950 - 12gb ram - 2x GTX580

It's not about the money (at least in my case) I don't mind paying $15 dollars to play the game each month, the thing that bothers me, it's that I don't feel that the game is worth it atm.I enjoy ffxiv, and play it on a regular basis. And I will continue to do so. If 12.95 a month is going to break your budget, or do anything remotely close, yes, you should go, an re-evaluate your life choices, such as spending a fortune on a computer that can even hope to play ffxiv when you are in such financial crisis.
If SE needs money, which they do after sinking a fortune into ffxiv, to make ffxiv succeed, then sure, have $12.95 a month from me. In face, they can have $25.90, I'll keep my mule active too.
Sure, I might end paying in the end but not because I think the game is awesome but because I like my LS a lot and those guys are worth it, not the game itself.

The alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Wrong. Only you can judge whether your $70 was worth it. I'll judge whether my $70 was worth it.Are you kidding me? I got screwed over by 70$! I payed for the collector's edition preorder. What i got was a game that almost doesn't even exist anymore. I got a game that was voted worst MMORPG release in the last 5+ years. Biggest letdown of all time? Most likely.
Here is what i got for my 70$:
20% finished game
HUGE letdown and disappointment
free trial period for a game's "reconstruction" alpha stage.
A fancy journal with concept art in it and a pass for any friend, for free and a fancy box (<_<) and 2 in-game items.
The game. (which apparently will be available online. . . for free or not they didn't say)
Now, considering ALL the changes made, the FFXIV we know today is NOT the same FFXIV from 2010. No sir.
Now it's up to you to judge. Were my 70$ worth it, or not?
for 41 cent a day i can feed starving children. i dont pay for other peoples screw ups.I enjoy ffxiv, and play it on a regular basis. And I will continue to do so.
