    I get where everyone is concerned, but don't do that 'I'll do it next time' mentality, do it /NOW/, you /KNOW/ Stormblood is going to be VERY SIMILAR to Heavensward, and you don't like that, then you SHOULDN'T buy it, let them know you did not purchase their product due to their inability to change and change will eventually ensue if enough people do it.

    Never said anything about adding traps etc to regular dungeons. Although if added to regular dungeons they wouldn't get boring and tedious, if there was more of a reason to go in them than grab some armour to use for seals or cap tomes. Why can't all mobs drop common and rare crafting mats instead of a few in chests every so often or from a handful of mobs.

    Traps/puzzles would not become tedious and boring if they offered decent rewards i.e extra tomes, craft/gathering scrips,minions, node mats. Then I think people would take time out from speed running a dungeon. Also are you telling me that the dungeons are not tedious and boring atm? They are the same strat drag mobs from a-b, avoid aoes, burn mobs ,deal with boss and repeat...

    How do we know that it is going to be similar without checking out Stormblood. Now if it is then you know it is going to be a trend throughout all of the expansions. Can't base one on all but after two you can get a general idea.

    We have more reason to believe it will be the same since Yoshi himself has said they will not deviate from the current formula until necessary. That, and all the content we /have/ seen are the same at HW launch, 2 Primals, 8-Man, blah blah blah. Don't get me wrong, I'm more than happy with getting more of the same with some neat new additions here and there, but to expect anything drastically different is a fallacy at best. I expect nothing new, this way I cannot ever be disappointed, only pleasantly surprised.

    Going by WoW expansions, Wrath of the Lich King was the third expansion same as Stormblood. WoTLK was an absolutely fantastic expansion, if FFXIV is going to be as successful then Stormblood should be as successful of WoTLK imo. Of course it would be nice if they removed restrictions on flying and swimming and let people fly and swim anywhere in the world.

    Puzzles are fun the first time. After that, it's just repeating what you've already discovered.

    As an example:
    How many times do you check the Warden Stone at the beginning of the Temple of Qarn, just in case they changed the two symbols used to open the door at the end? Most groups now just beeline for the stairs and don't go anywhere near the Warden Stone.

    I'm actually excited for Stormblood. I'm not hyped because hype just sets you up for disappointment. Yes, it might be a lot of the same and it seems that's not ok with many of you, but im fine with it. Honestly, I'm surprised that many of you in this thread even still play the game with the amount of negativity youre giving to an expansion that isn't even out yet.

    You are correct but at the same time there is no major penalty for getting it wrong or any worthwhile reward for getting it right. I am sure if the ground opened up and you fell to your death people would do it or it rewarded you with gil, scrips or extra tomes people would do it.

    Game is in a matured life cycle. Everyone complains about everything, even stuff they want. But continues playing it anyway. See this all the time in WoW (13 years) and EQ (18 years). Everything is fine.

    Hell we still have character creation restrictions. That alone means the game is still growing. When that goes away we'll know the pop is leveling off, and even still the game will still be in a healthy state.
