Remember that this is a game with multiple tanks per fight. :PSo I am curious what everyone would like to see as a Mechanic for future Jobs?
You don't need to name a Job for the Mechanic but just simply state the Mechanic and how it functions.
For me I would like to see a Tank Job that uses a mechanic that focus on taking damage.
A lot of the Tank Job's focus current is around causing damage to gain buffs, restore MP, and etc with little focus on actually "Tanking" hits in their mechanic.
It would be interesting if a Tank Job gains special stacks that boost up their defense per hit while also having skills that spend these stacks for special Tank buffs, self healing, or attacks thus giving it a exchange for them to with stand more damage, self heal if they don't need the defense buff, gaining special buffs that focus on improving the Job's ability to tank, or cause more damage.
A tank that relies on being MT gets shat on.
Well i am speaking Tank Stance mechanic wise.
Just slap in a DPS Stance that builds a separate DPS Buff stack that builds by causing damage and the same skills to have a more DPS focused effects and buffs.
For example, in Tank Stance the Tank builds Defensive stacks per hit from a enemy up to 5.
Spend the 5 Defense stack on a Buff skill that gives a Reflect Damage Buff for 15 seconds.
However, in DPS Stance after build 5 DPS buff Stacks by causing damage to the enemy they spend the 5 DPS Stack on the same Buff skill but it gives a different Buff being a 30% increase in Crit Chance and Crit Damage for 15 seconds.
it what I like to call the Take and Cause Damage Mechanic which in Tank Stance the Tank Take Damage for Defense Stacks and ability benefits while in DPS Stance Tank Cause Damage for DPS Stacks for DPS buffs and abilitiy benefits.
