I'm not belittling anyone. I'm expressing my opinion on the structure of a game. The only one who brought in personal comments to this is you. Why are you getting so angry?

I'm not angry I just hate it when people complain about Final Fantasy things in a Final Fantasy game, because they have 0 knowledge and blame the game because they didn't know what they were getting into. There's 30 years of stuff to look up to see how each of these games works, all the games had out there stuff to unlock things, fun or not to unlock stuff, even XI square's other MMO. I'm happy XIV knows what it is, a fanservice game for people have stuck with the franchise and I wouldn't have it any other way, apart from the "kill x 7 times" quests at the start of the game, keep that garbage in WoW or Wildstar.
I love the allegiance to FF in this title, but he does have a valid point. Making this game loyal to FF shouldn't come at the expense of making it a good MMO.
I hate to bring this all circular again, but it's all about sub numbers for an MMO to keep on living. They don't keep going on goodwill from the developer if they aren't profitable. So, any MMO on the market needs to focus primarily on being good enough within the genre to keep those numbers up.
This is wrong, you can't assume stuff like this. My friend for example quit for a time just because too much was locked behind doing battle classes because all she wanted to do was craft. And for a majority of us this game is a Final Fantasy title and the majority of the people playing this game are Final Fantasy fans who know what they're getting into. Sorry, you're the minority, always will be. WoWfugees were a mistake. Infact I hate early XIV MSQ just because of how much it reminds me of typical WoWtier boar butt quests.
Leaves for crafting and gathering should not be gated behind having a battle job/msq
Progress for crafting and gathering should not be gated by msq/needing a battle job
gathering should not be gated by MSQ progress
PvP should not be heavily gated by MSQ progress
FFXI did not even do this, it did it for a few select endgame areas, but the gating was no where NEAR what FFXIV does. It shouldn't do it and the count of 50 quests is absurdly high. They are just a ton of tedious run here run there quests, it does nothing for story or dept, just annoying. PLUS! if you want to put the story on a pedestal, i am sorry it is badly written, esp the entry to HW.
Small MSQ gating for what FFXI did for endgame areas, sure, like alexander here, but a full single story line for basic access to things? no, it shouldn't be doing it, FXI did not do it, and at this point I need to question if they are doing so to increase extra crash grab. Stormblood and HW should not be gated behind all those boring 50 quests. FFXI had several branches of quests to access different areas, that is HUGELY different then the linear BS we got here. (it would be the equivalent of going to base > stormblood without touching HW, that is how FFXI did things.)
Also stop being toxic and attacking Naunet because you disagree with them.

^ it seems the terms 'toxic' and 'harassment' have lost all meaning as they are now used interchangeably with difference of opinion. "You disagree with me? How dare you have such a toxic attitude! Stop attacking me."
Mhm, I actually quit around a year ago as soon as I reached HW, the insane amount of padding is just so frustrating and most of it was just that, padding, with no actual story and I was just so burnt out by then. Now that I came back and playing through the expansion I'm loving every minute of it especially since it has little to no padding.
No more "Go to the other side of the world and bring me some eggs, now come back, oops I forgot to ask for milk, come back, also now you need to talk to that person that was in the same place, now repeat this 100 times"
Honestly if you could go into the expansion once you reach the level required it would be so much better. They can just give us a quick TLDR.
Umm, I don't think so, this kind of belittling is quite toxic and not needed or wanted.

He is just a person that posts to stalk me and says anything to disagree with him, pay him no mind. I figured I wait for someone else to point that out to show how clearly in the wrong he is with such comment. I been reporting it but moderators do not want to take action on it for some reason.
Interesting, ignoring what I had to say and just personal attacks.
