    They should just merge mind and intelligence, I don't see the point of having those two stats separated besides the confusion as mentioned by OP, or stopping casters from having decent heals (it's not like a black mage being able to heal herself when healers are too slow would break the game...).

    Heck it would even help the "healer DPS" problem as people wouldn't have to stance dance to deal decent damage.

    Its possible they might do something similar by removing cleric stance.

    Devil's advocate on this.. but why not do the same with STR/DEX? Or even all 4 stats?
