When that times comes, but even then I don't think a potion will be bundled with the standard version it most likely be bundled with the CE version as I stated in one of my previous post.
The sad thing is that, making "end-game" available to anyone and everyone, even those who just start the game tomorrow, makes "end-game" not end-game at allWhat is end-game to begin with? But people just wanna do end-game... well yea, but thats not end-game
Sadly. See the threads about people complaining about having low player skill in "end-game"? Well, thats kinda what you get, when you make it available to people who just bought the game. Maybe people have to see that the quality of end-game also has something to do with it being... gated? And that you have to... "get to lvl 60" before you can start it? So the player skill is already set, before you enter it? So it actually becomes... end-game. Of course, they want to make as much money as possible, which is understood, but then again, you sadly ruin the quality imo. They should make people have to work hard, to get to end-game. So that people who have a lvl60 char, knows what he is doing and and is not just a tourist. I know, however, that this is not what is happening, but yea, that also creates this situation where end-game isnt really end-game at all
Research or not, that doesn't change the fact that there is a massive 50 quest roadblock inbetween 50 and 51 with actually very little story. Other than the formation of the crystal braves and some random beast tribe stuff, what actually happens story-wise between 2.1 and 2.4?

I can only add to this that i had 3 friend giving up on the 100 quest + that are present to get into HW and i doubt they would be willing to pay 10 euros just to play the game without that kind of torture,
One man's torture is another man's pleasure, in terms of view of storyline.
Its crazy how many people know so many other people who won't play, they will have there potions soon tell them to hold on a hot second!
So, I went back and did some content (theory testing) with a new character. I started a new character on Christmas, last year 2016, to test my theory on level grind. By the end of the week, into the first week of January 2017, I had been able to complete the main story for 2.0, and into HW starter content for Ishgard. Since then, I had moved up further and already at max cap 60 with the one job and almost nearly 250 gear at the time. That was in two weeks time or just about the first week of January 2017. As of now, the character is sitting with 260/270 gear now, as of April 2017.
This included before and after work, along with my social life, and a heavily 40~50hr work week--but only work about 4 days a week (sometimes 5 if it's busy). So my time spent is within those 3~4 days or before morning work starts and after I get off of work and settle in for the night. However, I will say that it wasn't impossible to grind. And POTD kept my gil afloat, with the new character sitting at almost 5.6mil+ gil so far in the past couple months. I'm not saying it's impossible to do, but with the time spent well invested in the game on a character, while you don't NEED a jump potion, I can verify that it didn't take me long to get to 60.
Although I've already gone through the game multiple times and skipped every cutscene on the new character because I've seen them on my main, I still feel like it would be a much better idea, with getting 70 content now or soon in 12 weeks time. I had originally advised I was against it, but going back through the game again a second and third time on other accounts, I would've liked a jump potion on those new characters. Just for the level jump to 50 or 60. Not so much the story. I don't mind just hitting skip on those.

Things that are mostly/just about important enough to know:Research or not, that doesn't change the fact that there is a massive 50 quest roadblock inbetween 50 and 51 with actually very little story. Other than the formation of the crystal braves and some random beast tribe stuff, what actually happens story-wise between 3.1 and 3.4?
We find Thancred.
The Warriors of Darkness show up, yell at us for a bit, then die and return to their universe with Minfillia. <- that being the important bit. We learn about fractal universes too.
We find Allisaie, and she joins us. Ga Bu happens.
Urianger plays double agent, possibly working with Elidibus.
Things that are basically just Anime filler:
Nidhogg comes back, yells at things then dies again.
Aymeric has some supposed trouble uniting Ishgard though it never amounts to much.
