Under what circumstances would you kick another player from PotD matched party?

I'm just curious. I ended up kicking someone the other day on like floor 94. I think it's the first time I've ever kicked a person in this game for a reason other than an extended DC or AFK.

They were going slow and insisted on grabbing every chest, but I didn't mind. Then they started condescendingly lecturing us on the importance of pomanders. I told them it wasn't important aside from getting one Resolution. The condescension intensified.

On floor 94, my friend and I who are both capped were plowing through rooms and this person apparently popped a luring trap in one of the rooms they decided to go in (they had split and gone in another direction). They then pulled them to us when we already had five mobs in the hallway and fortunately that person died and the lure mobs reset right as they got to us or we might have actually been in danger of a wipe. What followed was a two minute lecture on "((team))((work))" because apparently it was our fault they died. As we got to the cairn, they popped a second luring trap. We killed the mobs and they didn't help at all. I told them they could at least kill the luring trap mobs they had spawned and they said, "Nope. Teamwork is for losers," or something to that effect.

At that point I kicked them, both because I didn't want to put up with their attitude and because they seemed like the type who would wipe us later, deliberately or otherwise. I probably could have been more patient though. I don't know. I try not to kick people all willy nilly, so I'm curious what sorts of things would prompt other people to boot someone from something as casual as PotD matched runs.

When they said they want the team to back them up to open every chest and pomanders, and leveling up their gears.... they later say teamwork is for losers?

But honestly, every members should deserve to level their POTD gears and explore if they wish. No one should tell others that they don't need to explore everything or unlock chests to level just because others have capped them. That's just not right. If that's the case, the capped players should use PF system to party up if anything.

I'd do it if they don't fit the playstyle of the rest of the party.

Well, to be clear, their final remark was 100% definitely just a way of telling us (no idea which combination of the three of us they meant) to go perform intimate adult acts with ourselves. I don't even remember the actual wording really, just the meaning.

The only time I have ever kicked someone and even thought of kicking someone in POTD was when we were on floor 99, smooth run, no arguments, everything was just dandy. I was on AST and had two MNKs and a SMN so we had pretty high dps. Then for no reason, one of the MNKs uses TWO kuribus, one lust, and one rage (all we had). He would pop them and immediately click off the buff so he could use another. Then he suicided into a pack of 10 or so mobs. Needless to say, the rest of us got pretty damn pissed and kicked him immediately. And ofc we failed floor 100 due to mobs beating me black and blue.

    tl;dr
Would only kick if someone trolled or was just an awful person.

I've only kicked someone from PotD once before, I have old posts about it in the duty finder thread part 1 and part 2.

I've only ever kicked for bad attitudes or people having broken gear in the general game for the most part.

but hey it NA as in Natural assumes'ers :P dad joke aside

this only 1 part, the other person can easily reverse it and claim you bullied them.

me, i don;t kick people unless it is a last resort. I try to be the bigger person and only kick out trolls.

imo kicking a person out for difference of opinion is vindictive.

It takes quite a bit for me. Basically these few things:

    1. D/C for longer than a few minutes.
    2. AFK for an excessive amount of time, shorter if unannounced.
    3. Repeatedly making mistakes that get the group killed. Mistakes happen. I get it. But if you make the same one over and over and could possibly wipe the group, you're gone.
    4. Pissing me off. Thats hard to do, but usually insulting me or another group member.
    5. Botting. If you're not participating.
    6. Petulant behavior. I get it you derped and joined a PUG for a speed run instead of forming one. But the run will go faster if you help kill things. Not often but I'll get a person who will sit on the exit if its available and its like the 2nd room in for the floor and there's 4 silver chests to be opened. Sorry but I will go for these on floor 61-70 if people have pre 60 weapons. Its a little tough for someone to get 50-70 on floors 1-50. What I like to do with lazy people is vote kick them on floor X9. They wanted a speed run, but lost way more time because of their petulance. Of course I give them a chance in those 9 floors. But I see no reason to reward laziness. Patience and discipline are better. So their replacement gets a free fast easy run for selecting queue in progress.

The way I see it, the normal run should be done as quickly as possible without causing trouble. In addition if people need it, I'll go for silver chests. I won't go for every gold chest. But I will try to get the ones along the way or easy to snipe from a room. Let's be honest, you DON'T need resolutions for floor 100, they make it easy, but I've seen that boss die very quickly without. And I'm not going to throw a fit if someone uses a Lust on a non-boss room. Especially if there's tons of mobs (witch then lust on 6+ mobs with a fortune running is fun).

Anything beyond that, I think people should use fixed parties. The way I run is fast, safe, and gets people upgrades. Its probably the perfect compromise. Which is how PUGs should be.

I tried to kick a person that decided PotD was a good place to use /sit one time.

I don't mind people skipping rooms, it's not their obligation to help clear them if they don't want it. +99 players are not slaves to new/undergeared/returning +35 players. And I don't mind people killing every mob if they want to waste more of their and our time without any reason.
I do mind, however, if they don't help killing minimum number of mobs to open teleport, or if they are trying to force their gameplay style to the rest of us, and that's a legit reason for votekick in my eyes.
