Under what circumstances would you kick another player from PotD matched party?

i was in a party with a BRD, WHM and AST, and i was DRK.

i was tanking and the WHM just spammed cure 1 on gcd on me (i didn't needed any healing), so he was nothing than overhealing me. the BRD stepped in some traps, and everytime the AST had to go out of cleric and heal or dispell the BRD, while the WHM was useless overhealing me... so i kicked the WHM...

+99 players are not slaves to new/undergeared/returning +35 players.

Neither are undergeared/new/returning players should cater for +99 people who want to just skip everything.

So that's just double standard speaking right here. If the +99 people should be concerned about having new players with undergeared stats, then they should not go matched at all. Anything from 1-100 is supposedly to help your stats for the gear stats of your arms and armor, and to level your actual characters. There has been more new players who want to do POTD and these speed runners are not giving the opportunity to give good experience to enjoy the content.

Just out of curiosity, what if the player in question it's just spending the charges on the weapons to gear other classes or just for the aesthetic and wants to gain them back?

On topic:
I never understood the speedrun mentality and i will never will. As someone mentioned above me, gold chests can ensure your victory over the last floor if you happen to encounter in a bad situation, or just for the sake of avoiding traps. Or, to avoid empty rooms if there is no need to open any more chests for that matter. I neves had to kick a player in PotD and never i was kicked for playing it the normal way, but a reason to kick... Getting afk, for starters. Or just sitting in te exit awaiting for everyone do the rest of the job.

I'd kick snowflakes. Basically, if most of the group wants to speedrun, but one snowflake wants all the chests and puts up a fuss, I'll vote to kick the snowflake. With this logic matched should be banished from the game. As one way or another someone is catering to someone else's need. The only difference is one gets called an elitest.

Imo 1-50 is there to get your stats at a decent base. Then if you are leveling skip as much as you can, you will get your numbers as you run the floors. I started with my actual lvl, and my potd weapon/armor levels in the 40s. By the time I got my alt to 51 my weapon/armor was in the 90s. I would find the portal, kill enough to open it and stand there and wait. You want the chests, have fun. Honestly I got maybe 1-2 extra points when waiting for people in that entire time so there isn't that big of a difference and you likely get points faster with speed runs too.

What really gets my goat is when people have to pop all chests, silver sure, but why clear a room of 10 mobs for a gold or blue?

I typically don't kick, but for the sake of the conversation, this is what I agree with. Who made their needs the most important in the group? Even on the way up i'd only get chests that were on the way or that wouldn't pull an extra room. It's not as if it takes long to get a new group and get all the chests your little heart can handle.

As a side note, I feel speed running should be the norm and hunting should be the exception. I don't think it's unfair to say most of us just want exp.

I would only kick if the player is: Offline, AFK or abusive towards the group.

When my two friends and I were regularly running 1-50, we would kick healers who didn't use cleric stance, or tanks who stayed in tank stance instead of DPS stance, after asking them to focus on DPS since healing/tanking were not needed.

I'll not kick no one, I am doing just my own business there, and to be coherent I need to acknowledge other's businesses are legit too and will let them make it.

If you want speedrun you can go the circle and no issues, you will wait me but after I got the chest I've run to you godspeed. Reciprocal respect is a good thing.

^This is basically what I agree with. Everyone has his/her own business in PotD, there should be a common ground.
