Will Ala Mhigo be seamless? Will Ala Mhigo have places to reach through platforming? Why doesn't Ala Mhigo have its own housing plots? Why never menton it together with whatevergane?

All signs leads me to believe that it will be just as neglected as the Raubahn plot in HW.

DS: There has been a lot of speculation about the name of the new raid “Return to Ivalice.” Is the name just homage to Yasumi Matsuno who will design the raid, or there is more to it?

NY: It’s definitely not an homage. It also depends on how the players will interpret it when they’ll actually enter the raid. In terms of the world of Ivalice, and whether or not it is connected to the realm of Final Fantasy XIV, it’s still a mystery, and that’s something that you will have to enjoy while playing the scenario.

Before the release of Stormblood, we expect to create a field walkthrough trailer, as we did for the previous expansion, so you will be able to get a glimpse on how beautiful the landscape is.

I hope we get some news and footage soon, been following Ala Mhigo since 2.0 so I'm really anxious to see how its story concludes.

I'm not against the extra defensive but does Yoshida even understand why PLDs are out now? It's because they don't have enough attack. No one isn't taking PLD bc of their defense, this isn't Gordias anymore.

Aye, that's the way im seeing it. The moment i saw map scroll left i felt Ala Mhigo may be regulated to a foot note in the fight for Doma. The resistance went about it wrong, but 25 years waiting makes people do crazy, stupid things. As a Highlander i was looking forward to this and a Edo period Samurai Tank...

i dont see that happen, PLD go to get a New CD or a reworked one to dealt with Magic better like much to dont let It complety defenless against Magic tankbusters in a long fight, DRK dealt with physical well, but i say that more when we dont know what go to happen with foresight how is very usefull for us, face a fight with only wall and skin as raw mitigatio is not funny unless the delay betwen tankbuster is pretty big to dont be a problem.

Kinda worrying that PLD I getting more magic defense.
All this time, the identity of tanks to me went like
PLD: Tank that can support party.
DRK: Tank that excels at magical defense and higher DPS.
WAR: High damaging tank.

If PLD is about to get magical defense, I wonder what DRK will be getting, considering it's a lot harder to play.

Also, it's rather humorous that SE thinks defense is the only reason PLDs aren't being taken.
If AST, DRK, WAR and SCH shows anything, It's that higher DPS is always going to beat any defensive utility or such. If magical defense was truly the only thing holding PLD back, we wouldn't use DRK in everything else either.
