    It's not really what the devs had in mind. Remember that CU worked very differently at release and its effects depended on which stance you were in. Asylum was, alongside the old CU, put into the game and... well, never touched again. While CU (among other things) got reworked and buffed quite a bit.

    Give whm arise.
    6 min. CD Arise=No weakness to completely raise a person without animation delay(or give them a second or 2 of invincibility so they don't die again since the move won't ask them to raise), and to restore them to full hp/mp/tp.
    To be more specific this will be a do-over button in case in a harder fight someone accidentally dies at the start of the fight or they are the only person down needed for a upcoming or currently happening mechanic. this could only really be used once per most fights, but i think whm's would be needed a lot for learning parties and other less optimal cross server RF parties who are still getting the feel for a new strategy because this party does things differently. It would see its use and whm's would be more welcome in parties for this utility alone esp. since even in the best parties lag happens, and people make mistakes. I don't think 2 whm's would be OP either with double arise,it would be doubly safe in case someone messes up. AST and SCH would still probably be more optimal for players who don't make a lot of mistakes.

    I have a different idea for Asylum.

    Make it auto cleanse removable debuffs from party members that enter. Now WHM is suddenly the only healer that can reliably cleanse debuffs without wasting a GCD (besides Selene).

    I also think having more skills like Assize is the way to go, in terms of the fact that Assize had a dual purpose depending on what stance you were in. Asylum could have been originally designed as a heal over time skill with Cleric Stance turned off, and DoT damage field with Cleric Stance turned on.

    I believe this was mentioned in another thread, but perhaps we could get a form of Reraise as is typical in other FF games. Other WoW-like MMOs make use of an auto-revive mechanic, so perhaps this one could as well.

    Think maybe wmg needs something to make it more interesting. A dps spell that heals as well,or healing spell that dpses.it already has assize with this idea, give it a cd like summoner has for dt. This could make up for a balance on an ast.

    Add some raid utility

    Faith/Bravery: Increases target's MND/INT or VIT/STR/DEX by 15% for 20 seconds. Both abilities share the same cooldown. 90s CD
    Libra: Exposes target's weaknesses, increasing damage taken by 10% for 20 seconds. 180s CD
    Bubble: 100/150 potency AOE heal, increases maximum HP by the amount healed. Effect duration: 30 seconds.
    Arise: Raises target party member while removing weakness. 300s CD.

    There, whm is given raid utility with more consistency but less potency than AST draws while at the same time promoting buff-stack compositions (WHM/AST) at the cost of ease of dps and mitigation if they choose not to take a sch.

    If you apply reraise and other similar ideas, it hinges whm on the idea that they are either not doing thier job or people are failing at mechanics. Either way, in savage that equates to not a kill.

    If you nerf ast to less healing, they will still need the be ABLE to do it and therefore will still be the go to with dps buffs.

    If you remove cleric stance in savage and extreme to force healers to work together, AST will definitely have the spot due to dps cards.

    The problem is NOT whm, the problem is the combination of SCH having a locked in spot as a dps and AST brings with it extreme damage buffs to the group as well extreme burst aoe heals with lightspeed. All healers need to be viable, nerfing asts heals to the point of incapable is not an option. Short of giving WHM a buff that can be applied increases damage by x amount, there is very little they can do without nerfing cards.

    How about keep really high HPS identity, but with a new buff that makes overhealing a target convert the extra into damage on the target's target, so you can just spam heals while the buff is up and that would contribute some dps. Add an aoe esuna and a mega holy nuke
