I'm past being angry at this point, I'm just baffled as to at what point any of this was thought to be a good idea.

Nobody likes that WoW makes all its drops RNG with warforged and titanforged and ****.
It's not just that it's BIS regardless. It's that it's BIS with random offstats which is just...why. Why even. That's my reaction to this patch. Why even.

Utterly ridiculous.
I was already highly dissatisfied as raider that players who did not raid gordias/midas savage at all had at times better gear than I had due to pure luck in old Diadem.
It's not even a matter now about these weapons replacing the savage ones, but I was also on three relics for my BiS.
Even the argument that stats might be "random" is not helpful AT ALL. This just means again that anyone, just by pure luck, can get the top stats for their weapon while you continue grinding for hundreds of hours till you finally also have one. It can also be no argument that these weapons 'might be rare as heck' because this still means that anyone who just has god's luck can suddenly run around with the BiS weapon without doing anything for it. Neither raiding or dedicating so many hours in a questline like for the relic.

It's easily BiS with IL280; whether the second stats are good or not, but what the hell.
Why is Square Enix making such poor choices again. Giving IL275 weapon shortly before Stormblood by Diadem...Well, at least the relic would have some purpose then still. But THIS is bullshit. IL280 IS BULLSHIT.
Particularly with the RNG-elements as I've stated above. If at least the stats were fixed but no. (And even then I wish I could delete these weapons from the game.)

So far it seems that doing fates in diadem reward lockboxes. Unsure if it's just a random drop from those or whether you have to do specific things in certain fates or whether you need to kill a big boss fate or something.

So help me if weps are straight up random lockbox drops I will cancel my stormblood preorder because it's just not worth it fam

Crossing my fingers that at the very least it comes from the emergency missions because then at least there will be some sort of effort required.
