Do people even know what "pay to win" actually means? Is the potion giving you stupidly boosted stats? Is it giving the user access to broken gear not available in game or only accessible after an insane amount of playtime? I'm pretty sure the answers are no and no. Ragnarok Online is a better example of the 'pay to win' argument with stupid op gear and upgrade items only available from it's cash shop. The only things in this game's cash shop are dyes, some mounts, some furniture, clothes and QoL stuff.

A jump potion is not 'pay to win' it's 'pay to catch up'. There IS a difference.

Yeah, it's something that "P2W accusers" never acknowledge and will never see reason about. You can explain that P2W is being able to get an advantage that cannot be obtained any other way except spending real money until you're blue in the face, and they'll never listen. Of course, the sole exception being if the time acquisition to acquire it without real money is ridiculously long proportionate to the cost. That's something the other poster above me doesn't get. Companies don't dictate what people are willing to pay to skip and hour of grind... customers do. It's economics, pure and simple.

$1-$2 an hour is not a reasonable amount of time proportionate to the cost of gear in real money. that's what the company believes players would pay for an item, hence bar lowered from reasonable and proportionate to what would sell and would be 100% pay to win

You're apparently not understanding. In fact, you have it backwards.

It would be pay to win if it took LONGER than reasonably expected. It wouldn't. If they charged $120 for a full set of 270 gear, that would be perfectly proportionate to what the MMO market sets the value of grinding time at.

Again, not saying they should or shouldn't, but pricing a set of 270 gear at $100-200 would not in any way be pay to win.

Yes the original excuse for cash shop was no EU servers from SE unless cash shop. But since then the question of how the money has been distributed or saved for future projects has been nil.

It is quite possible that all hardware upgrades in the future will only be funded by cash shop. Once upper management thinks they can get out of paying for something or pass the cost along. But no unofficial word about how the money has been spent. Since while some people think the dev team lifts the sun in the morning and sets it at night, they can just as easily tell half truths or bold face lies.

Also I am sure that a lot or at least I would stop questioning this. If 4.0 inventory is really fixed (serious doubts) and all players had equal opportunity for content. Those seem like some pretty steep financial commitments. I am confident at this point I will be greatly let down. Nothing from the current dev team leads me to believe that they have a handle on inventory or accessibility.
