DPS obsession in farm groups

I do have a question. So Zurvan Extreme, 5 dps to skip Soar, Soar does not get skipped. Who's fault is it if it causes a wipe? The group for being unable to stay alive during Soar or the dps for not skipping it?

It's a genuine question. I know who I would consider at fault.

You failed to do the mechanic so the people who died and caused the wipe are at fault
