Also, how many are simply trying for a deal? Do you honestly think any price raise will be met other than with threats to quit and claims to get "even more people" if they kept the price low?

well you need to give those poles some credit too. i am one of those people who arent completely willing to pay full price until 2.0 and im sure as hell not alone, plenty of people who do play on this site feel the same. Of course it may be a small % or for all we know those polls may be right it and might be a large %. The deal here is will SE risk it? the safer route is the lower price, its revenue they need and more people (no matter how many more do it) and less chance of losing them as future customers.

There is no reason to give a rigged poll credit. THEY ARE RIGGED. They do not indicate the target Audience that is affected by the change or they offer a data that has been skewed with multiple/false entries.

Though they are not 100% correct, they have some truth in them. Defend paying full price all you want, its clear it will hurt just as much as it will help this game.

It isn't a scientific poll, but it does bring up the case that maybe further research into the matter is warranted.

Yoshida has stated that the game was at 50%....BEFORE 1.90. He has also stated that the game is at an acceptable level to start charging AROUND 1.20/1.21.

Meaning that he and the Development Team feel that 1.20 puts XIV at a point closer to 100% and that it's a launch worthy title, at which point you would start paying a subscription.

is it? is that why the entire game is being knocked down and replaced come 2.0? ok sure defend paying full price over half price for a halfgame thats getting replaced. I can believe people are still trying to say its NOT a half game considering it is being completely replaced Because its a halfgame. I'd love to pay half price as i feel itd maintian a lot more attention going in to 2.0. PR can go a long way, stop being elitist fools.

If SE does partial price now, then raises after 2.0, there will be backlash with a larger population. Better in the long run that SE puts their foot down now in regards to the price.

i dont agree with this at all being that when 2.0 releases alot of people will be coming back since launch or for the first time ever hopefully. So they will be all about paying full price being that they know what they are getting in to with mmos. A free month comes with 2.0 so people can decide then if it is worth full price for them, not now when the whole game is getting rewritten.
