I really don't get this mentality. I get being a bit disappointed, but calling the lack of minor cosmetic additions "A Complete Waste", in the face of the generally massive content additions Stormblood looks to be bringing to the table, seems ridiculous at best.

Fans have been asking for new character customization forever. It is indeed a waste that they haven't planned to add at least one improvement. They also refuse to add a new race this time around, so you'd think they'd put those resources into making character customization better.

Like Lords of Verminion or Diadem 1.0? That wasn't a smart decision from them, since fantasias are the most bought item from the mog store but SE has never been one of the most smart companies when talking about priorities.

I'm kinda starting to understand why people get hit by every single attack in Duty Finder, they are all playing in first person and can't see stuff that's around them (including their own character).

But seriously, I can appreciate people being frustrated. Despite stellar aesthetics, FFXIV has a shallow CC. Considering the sheer amount of glamour focus this community has, it's not surprising many people put greater emphasis on stuff like this.

This is the kind of response that lets them get away with the answers they do. "Can't do X because of server limitations" and "lol stability!!!!!!" will continue to be a trend until this game eventually dies. I kinda' care where my sub money goes and what it's used for, and if they continually use these reasons (hint: they've been doing it since 2013), and people just give up like this, it will never end. People really should demand more from SE, a Triple A game company with more than enough money to get better servers and provide better quality updates than just a predictable patch cycle with crap that people will get bored of a week after it's out and let their sub lapse. Heavensward 2.0, here we come.

Yeah, that's a fair point. And I'd be lying if I said that I wouldn't spend a fantasia to mess around with new options were they added. Heck I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed at the opportunity to do so being outright shut down.

I just think it's a tad excessive how much people are focusing on what we aren't getting, rather than showing interest in what we are. Though that's hardly uncommon behavior in general.
Also lots of people seem to be using the mentality of "Well we aren't getting so and so, so why aren't they giving us this and that instead?!"; a fallacy based in the fact that we don't really know the specifics of how SE manages its resources. And it's unlikely that they'll become so transparent as to share with us these fine details.
Personally wouldn't want them to anyway. Would take away all the surprises in everything.
