The nerf was rather huge, lol
I miss those days though, Demon Wall and also doing Relic for first time in Sub i90 having to eat vitality food to have some chance of surviving stomps from Titan on Bard. Good times

I'm guessing the meaning was "food of least desirable secondary stats, but current-tier vitality bonuses, which can thereby be purchased very cheaply to inflate one's health".
Or that's just what I mean when I tell people I need to buy vit food because we don't have a SCH/Noct and raid damage would otherwise kill me.
They had large AoE stuns; you had to move them into the corner of the inner rectangle, almost into the wall, in order to provide a safe space to dodge if you were late to spawn them, and then either outer corner during the last section before the wall-squish. That or your WHM would Holy like a boss and your tank would stun one and your melee another. But so few did... So few did...

That sucks, that sounds like a fun mechanic to overcome with a few simple steps to do.They had large AoE stuns; you had to move them into the corner of the inner rectangle, almost into the wall, in order to provide a safe space to dodge if you were late to spawn them, and then either outer corner during the last section before the wall-squish. That or your WHM would Holy like a boss and your tank would stun one and your melee another. But so few did... So few did...
Demon walls in FF games were always nasty but this one now just feels like you're hitting a literal wall cause of how boring it is.
When did they get taken out? 2.1?
What about Pharos Sirius tho
this was nerfed as being too hard, which actually translates as "if you blindly go ham you will die". This was too tough for the majority of the playerbase who only have one speed: blind ham. so had to be nerfed
same with steps of faith. "what's this? I'm required to read the instructions and click something? we wipe if we only go blind ham? wut? nerf pls". and lo, the nerf was granted
so yes, anything that requires you do anything beyond pew pew, is too hard


Well to be honest some of my runs in pharos I run into people that don't know the mechanics or their play isn't so good so we still wipe to the explodey boss or the zu eggs.What about Pharos Sirius tho

Fairly sure it was 2.1 at the ilevel of the dungeon drops was reduced as well to make the dungeon inline with Wanderers Place while the new dungeons got gear from AK.
