From what I understood the jump potions wouldn't be to 60 but rather 50, which the new jobs start out as anyway. Could be mistaken though.

It will be up to 60 once the new level cap is 70. Right now, in the regions the jump potion exists, it boosts a job to 50.

The faster the jump potion gets added, the earlier I can buy it.
I like the lore, but I recent having to run around and do levemete and whatnot to gain another level in order to do the next MSQ. I want to be level 50/60 and enjoy the MSQ all in one go. And skills? Potd from level 1 and learn 'em that way. I just want to enjoy the story without having to go and do unrelated stuff in order to level up so that I can continue the MSQ. Ofcourse, 60 to 70 will present the same limitations, but I can't have everything my way.

Correct me if I'm wrong...

But I believe the way it works on the other versions of FFXIV is that it jumps a class up to whatever level, and auto completes all the story and class quests up to that level as well...

If that's how they are brought over, you would not be able to just jump and experience the story on your character, as you'd have skipped everything with the jump potion.

It was stated that they would not be immediately available for the HW jobs since they start at 30. All the more reason I think that they probably wouldnt be available for the SB jobs if they will start at 50.

I mean I don't think it was confirmed or not, but I mean if someone wants to spend 30+ bucks to boost a job 10 levels, that's their prerogative.
