Some ppl will never be happy thats true but here is the thing about doing something like this, yes ppl could farm the lower level versions but in comparison to the harder versions the drop rate for said rewards are greatly reduced.
As an example:
- Very Easy==> drop rate set at 4% chance
- Easy======> drop rate set at 6% chance
- Hard======> drop rate set to 10% chance
- Very Hard==> drop rate set to 15% chance
Or something along those lines, so yes everyone would be able to get the same rewards but the lower the difficulty the longer it'll take to get get the rewards. Some of the arguments I've heard have been that the lower skilled players need and should put the effort in to get the same rewards and the lower skilled/casual players saying that they pay the sub and should be able to do all the content.
Setting a raid or trial up with this format can cater to everyone, if the higher difficulty scares players like I've heard coil did to alot of players then they can do a lower difficulty but doing so would take them longer to reap the same rewards and at the same time the more skilled players wanting the harder content can not say the lower skilled players didn't put the effort in to get the same gear because it would have taken them like 4 times longer to get it.

I completely agree with this, coming from games like Ragnarok Online, but FFXIV's community doesn't think that time and commitment equals effort. You can see for yourself if you search topics in the forums asking for relics to be made weaker because "they need no effort to get like raid weapons do".Setting a raid or trial up with this format can cater to everyone, if the higher difficulty scares players like I've heard coil did to alot of players then they can do a lower difficulty but doing so would take them longer to reap the same rewards and at the same time the more skilled players wanting the harder content can not say the lower skilled players didn't put the effort in to get the same gear because it would have taken them like 4 times longer to get it.
That's acrually very nice because there are no options for the second ring besides Savage acessories, since you can't have 2 of the same unique rings. They are doing an alliance trial battle against Prototype Ultima which drops high-level accessories.
Would be nice if they do things like that more often instead of the usual formula for trials which is a primal with weapon drops in extreme difficulty only.
More accessories is a nice thing. Odin had armor drops which is cool too. They were not high-level but the glamor was somewhat desired.

Now that you mention that I do recall hearing about ppl complaining about relics taking too long to build, that was before I started reading and posting on the forum. I do have to disagree with them tho even the ARR relic wasn't hard to build, the part I got hung up on was the materia phase I simply didn't have the gil to buy all the materia for my relic and I don't think there was many options to gather materia at the time but I still worked on that phase and getting the materia when I could afford to.I completely agree with this, coming from games like Ragnarok Online, but FFXIV's community doesn't think that time and commitment equals effort. With the HW relic I like how so far its mainly been tombs, seals, and items that I've had to farm its been less expensive. Something like building a relic should take time to make, I'm currently on the Umbrite stage of mine and I've been running ARF mostly due to the tombs rewarded but I can switch to other dungeons just to switch it up some. Its the lazy ppl that expect great rewards right away that have an issue with putting in the time to get said rewards and the only way to make them happy is to simply give them it but thats no way to go about it.
