Actually, you'd be wrong. All the idiots saying "Like it or leave!" are probably the same people who thought this game was the second coming in the beta. Not expressing your opinion is idiotic. Feedback is so incredibly important to an MMO, including feedback as to why people are leaving, or why an idea is extremely unpopular.
Walking away without leaving a reason for Square Enix provides no feedback. Maybe you left because your cat died and now you're depressed? Maybe you left because male Mi'qote offend you? How the hell would they know? They could assume everyone left for this reason or that... but the only way to know for sure, to get proper feedback... Is by us speaking up.
So telling us to "shut up," is like saying "Square doesn't need feedback! I mean, look how well they did without it for the release of this game!"
Idiotic nonsense.
P.S. Bitching about a sub fee is not providing feedback about the game. It's just bitching about paying.
No actually you're wrong because I can tell you haven't read any of my replies, or at least the ones where I explain what I'm actually complaining about.
I'm complaining about how SE is going to split this community in half and make a lot of us lose faith in this company. This company can not afford to lose anymore customers. They need us to stay happy and stick around their world. They may just piss a lot of us off enough to not come back in 2.0.
Se are makign themsevles look really bad by charging for a beta version of their game. Even Yoshi said in his recent translated interview that 2.0 is a relaunch, like a lot of you said 2.0 is not.

you arent playing the game
My XIVPad: http://xivpads.com?2031148
people who are playing and enjoying the game will pay, thats what matters
there are alot more of those then you realize
people who dont like the game, and dont enjoy it, ARE NOT playing it
My XIVPad: http://xivpads.com?2031148
Hahahahaha.
Really? Because almost no one is playing the game right now.
So are there gonna be like, fanboys popping out of the woodwork to pay for the game?
Because almost nothing minus almost everybody does not equal "more than you realize."
You're really confident that everyone is as gullible and willing to pay for a beta as you.
This is one of the more ignorant posts I have seen today. And that's saying something.Hahahahaha.

and how you obviously dont play often if you think the game is that empty(im seeing groups of 24+ people forming up to raid the strongholds quite often, and you cant do that on a small population game really)
yeah, not a beta, we have plenty of content for a launch game at this point
and ALOT of people are enjoying it, obviously you arent one of them which makes me wonder why you are even here too
as i write this im staring at a crowd of well over 100 players(unfortunately most of which are roleplaying)

Are you sure you are logging into XIV? I'm in Ul'dah right now and it is absolutely packed with people. I love how people who barely play the game seem to think they know what's up or that their opinion even matters.

Are you for real? The name of your thread is "Not the time to charge, see ya in 2013" Kilta is that you?No actually you're wrong because I can tell you haven't read any of my replies, or at least the ones where I explain what I'm actually complaining about.

Yeah its not about complaining about paying at all. Nope not one bit:
I don't think they have any right to charge us to play a beta. It's been a year and still no search function, no useable LFG system, and no mail. The game is a wasteland outside of chatting linkshells. Now that tons of people are going to quit, the game is going to become even more desolate. Why am I going to -pay- to play a game that's not even really ready?
I always thought to myself that they would only change when this theoretical 2.0 was released (and on PS3 too)... but to charge us for it one year ahead of time? I understand there are bills to pay, but SE really made a horrible game and deserve to pay the price. I still feel insulted that they even released the game in the first place.
I only log in to play around, check to see what's changed, and log out, and I'm sure at least 50% of the players are exactly like me (if not more).
Don't get me wrong, I had a huge smile on my face as I read through the announcement and saw the PDFs about 2.0... but I'm not paying for 1.9, or 1.20.
Unfortunately, they are probably making the wrong decision on behalf of the players. I already feel insulted -again-. For the entire 2012 I'm going to be pissed at them for not allowing the people who payed 50+ dollars for this garbage continue to see the updates that THEY OWE US first hand. Now I'm going to have to be a forum dweller.
TLDR: I feel insulted all over again and refuse to pay for beta, a bad beta at that.
