Cata has been designed with the use of add-ons in mind. You won't find any top raiders healing without a healing addon, because it's simply too inefficient. I don't use Healbot/Vuhdo because I'm a lazy healer. I use them because it is inefficient to manually click on the player frame, then click a key while targeting them when I can simply mouseover their name on an addon and heal using a combination of key presses. It is faster and I don't have to be targeting them, thus I can have the boss targeted to see when he is casting something.
You don't seem to understand the use of addons, and you don't seem to even give them a fair try. You have gone into WoW with your mind made up that you hate it and the use of addons, thus you don't see any of the benefits.
I find it highly ironic that you're saying addons make you lazy and you can play fine without them, but in actuality, you can't get into endgame raids because you're not doing high enough DPS. End game in WoW is competitive when it comes to securing a spot in a raid. If you can't do the DPS, why should the rest of the raid carry you through when they can get someone who actually is carrying their own weight?
Have fun with your 5 minute enrage timers where every second counts. The same held true in XI for certain bosses. Dynamis Lord easily comes to mind. RDM/DRKs having to stagger stun with their 2hr. Timing is key, and one slip up causes a full wipe. WoW's endgame is not like XI's old endgame where you sit around for hours waiting for a spawn, then spend the next 45 minutes slowly chipping away at the HNM's health. WoW bosses last between 2-10 minutes on average. It's much faster paced, therefore that 60 minute enrage timer, or whatever it was that they added in XI is like the 5 minute enrage in WoW.
