But the people who are still here have something to gain or lose by SE's decisions going forward. Every person posting here has bought the game and created at least one character, or they wouldn't be able to post here.

I'd be much quicker to go by what I see on this forum where the members each have an investment in and a stake in the future of the game, than I would on other sites (I've seen people mention ZAM, for example) where people who have no stake, nor necessarily even any real interest in the game can "voice their opinions".

70% of the people who've "voted" on this site saying they'll proceed with the subs and 30% saying they won't carries more weight IMO, because those votes come from people who are actually playing and whom the changes will actually impact going forward.

Incidentally, I'd have the same point-of-view if the numbers were reversed and 70% said they wouldn't sub. So it's not a bias thing.

And frankly, saying that this site is more prone to fanboy-like behavior than any other seems like a non-sequitur. Anyone posting here could just as easily be posting on any other site being just as fanboyish. Same goes for those who don't like or are looking to troll the game.

It's not as though there's some rule stating "If you're a fan of the game, you only post on the official forums, else you post everywhere else".
