Why is game entitlement a thing and people think they deserve every item in the game?

To be clear no where in my post did I say anything about people doing nerfed content if you guys really think there is no difference in paying for a clear and reaping rewards from an unsync clear only I dont even no what to say to that. I am not saying to make things exclusive for the top ten percent of the player base there are levels to this game.

Hardcore player or very skilled players they get their 270 gear and their titles whether its nerfed or not its still doing the content nobody has to be first even if its nerfed people still dont do this content for whatever reasons. Midcore players that do 24 mans extreme primals etc etc. And then players that just get on the game and just have fun in their own ways, Im not bashing these players have you seen how many post I have in defending players that people call horrible all the time.

That being said does not mean that if thats how you want to play the game that you should have access to rewards (premium rewards) that the hardcore player does, well your not hardcore why do you want a title of something that you know you cant even do in any form of sync nerfed or not its still harder than all the other stuff in the game. So the crazy talk of saying that buyin matts off the mb is the same thing as being asked to stay dead and paying millions of gil to watch other people fight is just crazy to me there is no logic in this at all. If you are that bad then you do not need to get the reward for something that wasnt meant for you, if you want it then as everyone tells me find some like minded friends and give it a go dont pay for it and be a phony walkin around with a title you have no business hanging over your head. If you want to just have fun then just have fun why do you want premium rewards that where meant for premium players, people shouldn't only have three month long rewards if you did something of significance then it should last and always be important.

And example would be the mentor mount by everyone heres logic I guess that one should be up for grabs to then. Even tho to get it you have to have 2000 mentor roulettes do you really have to go that far out of your way to have something thats exclusive to hard work or should you be able to buy that to. I guess nobody does the relic weapons then dont you want the pay out of that 270 weapon at the end of all the things you have to do to achieve that, even if its nerfed its still not a cake walk either. Nobody is tryin to show off if anyone its the person who wants the reward they didnt earn a bird they didnt earn thats the one whos tryin to flash not the person who actually wanted the challenge and wanted to learn.

The only thing that really bothers me are the people who want the Veteran Rewards instantly and then criticize the Veteran system because it's "not fair" that other people have items they don't have yet. We've definitely seen this before on these very boards. As far as paying for content clears that's never bothered me. I've known people who have sold content and would never do it myself nor would I buy it but to each their own.

To be fair to that one, it is a bit of a bummer that the tiers are specific. It think a better system would be a currency that can be spent on those items. I mean, it's possible the game servers shut down before I ever hit the last vet reward. :P

Not really its more of a balanced reward system, you should get the rewards that you earn instead of getting things just because. So no its not tellin people how to play the game its wondering where the balance is, this game is full of gates, but yet it lets everyone have everything even when they dont try as hard as the next person doesnt really make any sense to me.

I believe that Square Enix are the only ones qualified to dictate what content in their game is "meant" for who. If they did not mean for people to pay for clears or obtain those rewards without having cleared it sync'd first, the game would have been designed as such.

Now it sounds as though you should be aiming your complaints at SE, not the players who are simply playing the game as it was designed in a way they see fit and falls within the game's rules.

Well somebodies buyin gill in the game if youd pay for a clear and have that sort of pov, I dont see why you wouldnt pay for gil as well so who knows if some of those players are doing both. But I get the point your makin it just makes pretty much every reward in the game pointless. And I guess if thats what the base wants then so be it.

It only makes a reward pointless if you define its worth by other people NOT having it. A cool mount is just as cool no matter how many people use it, man.

I just guess I'm old fashion , I do case manager work at a homeless shelter and I cut no slack, I dont believe in hand outs if you arent doing anything for yourself. So I just have the same view point, about the game if someone wants to be a millionaire they put in the work to get its no easy way around it.

But on here outside of the mentor mount everything is accessible for players that dont even try , and Id never tell anyone not to try and expect something in return. Its not about the mount are whatever being cool, its the steps toward how you got it , the birds are cool my friends have birds in the game Its just another item. But I respect my friends are anyone else riding a bird now because chances are they earned it from quing up and putting in the work. I have no respect for anyone buying a clear and being phony and a fraud but I guess thats just me.

That was my point. Your entitlement to these rewards has no logic and, tbh, your nose has no business in how other people obtain them, so long as they are following the game's ToS. Buying clears, mounts, raid gear, and titles are within the player's right, as it doesn't break any rules.

At the end of the day, this is a game, not real life. Chill, relax, stop worrying about how Bob paid for his A12S clear. He's having fun, are you?

I wasn't quite caught up on HW content to do Bismarck EX or Ravana EX when they first came out. I did them for the first time at a much higher ilevel than intended. You still can't unsync them, but higher gear has made them laughably easy even for a casual like me. But by your gauge, even though I've put in time to learn the mechanics and spent numerous hours farming, I don't deserve the bird I got. Nor do the dozens of people I've created bird farms to help because we didn't do it when it was bleeding edge.
