Why is game entitlement a thing and people think they deserve every item in the game?

Ive learned a few things over the past few days recently that I just simply do not understand. Why is it a problem if a player is better than you are at the game, as long as they are not some rude elitist. What I mean is to me if a player has a better skill set than I do at doing certain content in the game I am totally fine with them having better rewards than me.

But what I'm seeing is alot of players that dont wana put in the work but yet believe they deserve the same rewards as those whom do. For instance I didn't even know buying clears was a thing thats just sad if you cant play certain content to where you have to buy it then why even attempt the content its out of your league do things that is in your league instead. I had another post even with mounts where players feel like they deserve certain mounts from primals or something that they didnt even try are have the desire to do sync at least once but yet they feel like they deserve a mount for those who did but why tho? Are someone said in another thread that people are waiting to get titles from Alexander when it goes unsync, why would someone even want a title they dont really deserve.

Im totally agaisnt rude players that think they are better than everyone, but Im also not for players that think they deserve rewards that they didnt earn. If time spent and paying a sub is all it takes to get the best rewards the game has to offer then why are they even rng based why not just give them away like we get a free company chocobo? Is it really that hard to accept that you didnt deserve something in a video game?

There is nothing wrong with buying clears. It's a mutually beneficial agreement; one person gets Gil, the other gets title/mount/etc. Criticize something else.

How is it nothing wrong with it , if you cant handle the content then you don't deserve the clear, buying a clear should be just as bad as rmt. If you wana run it unsync to do or see the story line later on then fine. But to buy a clear should be illegal in the game, if someone cant clear content at least once the only reward they deserve is just to simply see the story line of that content and thats all. They dont deserve the mounts, are titles from the content none of this should be given away if you cant even get one clear of something.

If someone EARNS their gil, and they choose to buy a clear, that's their prerogative. I mean, some clears for savage go for anywhere from 10-40m on my server. If someone earned that gil, and chooses to blow it on that, more power to them. Why do you care? All of the players that earned their clears rightfully generally wait until their entire static is decked out and have the mounts before selling clears anyways.

That's like saying you don't deserve to purchase the Ebon Whistle off the MB(which sells on my server for 15-22m), because you didn't go into POTD and get lucky enough to have it come out of the hoard. Or the Zu mount, which I personally sold 3 of for 10m a piece when they first came out, because you don't have FC airship access. I don't see a difference, whatsoever.

Play game, want fun, has fun - SE gets the money, good game. Doesn't really matter what you're doing so long as it's upholding value on both sides. And the whole deserve argument sort of falls off because the game has already decided what they deserve and therefore it decided they "deserved" that achievement.

Smash 10 kupo nuts, get Thal's Nut Crusher. Doesn't matter if it's easier 6 months after content release, smash 10 kupo nuts and you get the reward.

So... as long as they didn't cheat they deserved it. They are correct in being entitled to the reward, as they did what was necessary.

Just answering the bolded first sentence of TC's post, and nothing else :

Everyone is paying the same base rate for the game, thus they feel they should all get everything that everyone else paying the same as they gets.
