Why is game entitlement a thing and people think they deserve every item in the game?

I never once used the word "milking" in a single post.

If you enjoy playing the game your way, do it. More power to you. Just stop exhausting so much effort trying to change and chastise people for what they do. If it isn't hurting anything but your opinions, it's a futile war to wage. If there's one thing I've learned in life, it's that I need to lower my expectations of others, and the things they do. There is no issue with buying clears or ponies/birds. If anyone believes this is entitlement or scrub tenancies, you have basically called out the whole market board/crafter community. If you bought anything with your gil, you are entitled. This take is ridiculous. You earned your gil, use it before you lose it. Also, generalizing everyone as gil buyers is also wrong. Generalizing any player, for any reason, is simple minded and destructive.

Acknowledgment is the first step. You're on your way to Tolerance, as well as Acceptance.

Technically, connections tend to go further in RL than effort. Kind of like being connected to players that are willing to carry you through content - paid, unsync or otherwise.

You have a very naive understanding of life. Rewards, alas, are not usually directly proportional to efforts. Many of the least-compensated people in the world are some of the hardest working.

Given the tone in a lot of your posts, maybe you should consider stepping back from the forums and just having fun in the game without focusing so much about what you think of the state of the game or the people that play it, if for no other reason than your own sanity.

Its nothing wrong with playing how you want , Ive told you several times that I play how I want, but that being said does not mean that you should have access to every reward in the game. This isnt a little league soccer team where you get trophies for just being on the team..

That's exactly what it is. it's the way the world has become. we live in a participation generation and instant gratification society. it's everywhere you look.

look at the feast and pvp. you get wolf marks and stuff even if you lose... it's exactly like a "little league soccer team" all you gotta do is turn up and you'll be rewarded.

This is causing problems becuasde players are joining matches going afk and getting the rewards at the end when the rest of team is actually trying to win.

it's the same in most games even big ones like cod. you can be a terrible player lose every match never kill anyone and you'll still rank up and prestige because you'll still get rewarded just for playing..

it's also why modern society has such a big problem with mental well being and depression. because people are growing up under the belief of everything they want is just given to them. then they go out into the world apply for a job and blow there minds when they don't get it. or do get it but don't get a stonking promotion or pay rise in there first couple of months.

they cannot handle life and that's why games have become the way there are to provide that escape where you can get get everything just handed to you...
