Why is game entitlement a thing and people think they deserve every item in the game?

Not really because I can't help that I came to the game late after the game gave better gear.if ilvl matter only in clearing content then unsync would be a non existing thing. And everyone would do sync clears to get there rewards so there is no arguing there because we no that's not the case. It's one thing to come to the party late it's another to wait to even take part in something purposely until it can be done the easiest way possible.

Im not an elitist at all I def dont claim to be a top tier player, but fine if you want to wait right now and your not currently tryin to get mounts are farm birds etc and you dont want to do the instance thats fine.

But when you do finally decide to do it and the only way you ever did it is the easiest way possible, your reward should be one thing and thats called a check mark by cleared duty. That you cleared the content that you saw the beginning and ending of the cutscenes and sure have that old gear for glamour are that music scroll but the mounts should not be given period if the only way you did it was this way. Its different if someone has been farming and they just cant get the mount but they already beat the content ten times over sure you deserve that mount the rng was agaisnt you.

But if you buying clears sitting out on purpose, then your reward is that you got the check mark of complete and that should be good enough thats not elite thats just not wanting a hand out like I said its plenty of mounts and other items that you can get why do you want the top tier stuff if ur not top tier.

Its a game, its about having fun - and as far as I'm concerned as long as your fun isnt hurting others you're allowed to have as much of it as you want. And yes, that includes saying "I dont want to do this raid properly, I can wait a year to get the mount I want".
You should play the game because its fun to you by itself not because you feel the need to be special and show that off - if you cant deal with people getting stuff you "work hard" for with less effort months later, maybe you're playing for the wrong reasons? Not that it would bother me, actually - I am happy I got all my clears the decent way, but that only matters to me personally (and it gives me the advantge to say "Back in my days...!"). If you can only be happy by comparing yourself to others, you wont find much joy...
