Why is game entitlement a thing and people think they deserve every item in the game?

How is it nothing wrong with it , if you cant handle the content then you don't deserve the clear, buying a clear should be just as bad as rmt. If you wana run it unsync to do or see the story line later on then fine. But to buy a clear should be illegal in the game, if someone cant clear content at least once the only reward they deserve is just to simply see the story line of that content and thats all. They dont deserve the mounts, are titles from the content none of this should be given away if you cant even get one clear of something.

No, it goes back to Titan Hard Mode. When Titan HM was a wall, due to a variety of factors many of which are no longer relevant, people bought clears.

Fact is, only SOLO play is where YOUR skill controls the outcome, in 8+ group content there's always someone else who can carry you if you're not up to it yet you can still get the rewards for slacking, so titles etc. for group content are largely illusory when it comes to identifying the 'goodz' from the 'badz'.

If anything, it would be incentive for me and my boys to git gud enough to sell content so we can start makin that mad dosh. Git gud and git paid. Nothing wrong with that!

Nothing wrong with it at all. If you really want to accuse people who buy clears of "not deserving it", I can point out quite a few people who didn't pay for their clears but certainly didn't pull their weight in the fight and don't deserve it.

As long as real money isn't being used to pay for the clear, there is nothing wrong with it and certainly shouldn't be "illegal".

You say that people deserve to be rewarded for their skill, well, selling clears is a way of these people making rewards (gil) from their skill, it goes both ways.

Personally I'd never buy a clear, it's just not how I work, but it is a market that is very rewarding for those who sell it, and for those with the desire to buy it, it also gets them what they want.
Bear in mind there are many different people who play this game, much of the player-base really doesn't care for hardcore content and that's okay, but when this player plays for glamouring, and they REALLY want a piece of glamour from the latest raid, they don't care about raiding, but they do care about that glamour, so they go and buy a clear, nothing wrong with that. They get their glamour piece, the guys selling it gets gil, everyone's happy.
