Yes, but people do and a lot of players mainly play in notebooks and SE, as a company wanting to make money from a new expansion, should release a benchmark. No laptop players are complaining about the changes, we just want a benchmark to be sure about how the game runs and take action if it doesn't run well.

Value-wise, they tend to be worse than desktop equivalents, but there are many configurations available that can handle this game (and many others) just fine. Especially with more power efficient architectures released these past couple years (e.g. Nvidia's Pascal) laptops today are much more attractive options than their ~2011-2015 counterparts.

The GTX1080 for laptops, for example, has 2560 cores just like the desktop version.
The GTX980M just one generation prior, had to compromise with only 1536 cores, compared to the desktop version's 2048.

Looking at the lower end, the GTX1050 Ti for laptops is actually faster than the desktop version.

Upgradability remains a weak point, but they aren't as gimped on performance as they used to be.

MSI motherboard.
Only 8GBs of RAM (can get more easily).
Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 7700 series.

Right now, I have so much lag issues. And loading issues. To me, I think that's because of the servers. and the amount of people gather in one spot. (Exampled: Idyllshire).

Even if it was enough, just saying your graphics card and not your processor/ram at the very least is like saying you only need to use a knife to make toast.

seems the only thing lacking in minimum requirments for Stormblood is my Graphic card unless the current minimum requirement can be adjusted due to it been too early and yet to be tested.

Your CPU & RAM are fine.
I'd upgrade the graphics card though. Your card is basically an underclocked GT 440, which itself wasn't that great even at launch. You will notice a huge improvement if you upgrade.

i got an i3 6100, 8 gb ram, geforce gtx 1050ti and I get about 55-60 fps on DX 11 maximum settings. Really hoping I dont see a significant drop in FPS for stormblood because of my cpu.

I have an overclocked i7-4770k, and FFXIV uses about 40% of it in idylshire. Its definitely not the servers causing your lag lol.

MMO's are very CPU intensive, and the FX-6300 isn't that great a processor.

with that being 1151 socket you could drop a i7 770k or i5 7600k and notice a big improvement if needed as kaby lake is compatible with all 1151 motherboards, though you may need to update your bios

So someone told me that to upgrade to these new standards I need a new graphics card and CPU, and for those I need a new motherboard which requires new ram. Well, this sucks... I don't have half a grand lying around to be used for hobbies. What do you think?
