    Weapon types you'd like to see in game

    Since currently the game is based around the weapon you have equipped determining your class/job I thought it'd be fun to see what weapons (you could even say what class/job you think might use it) people would like to see in game.


    Personally I'd love to see the kanabo used in game.



    According to japanese mythology it was a weapon wielded primarily by demons due to how heavy the weapon is and that demons being so strong could easily wield it.


    As for what class/job it'd be I'm unsure. Maybe "Ogre Slayer" or "Berserker" maybe, I really don't have a great idea for a job to go along with it but I do think the weapon would be fun in game and would be great to see all the different looks they could make up for it.

    Kusarigama! I could see it fitting a Beastmaster who uses Chains/Whips as a primary.

    I bet leveling DRK's will use Kanabo's like how PLD's had macuahuitl's; they should!

    I would love a far eastern expansion that introduces a healer dancer with dual wield war-fans, and a samurai tank

    I loved the way that SE made dancer a frontline healer in FF11 and I think that a frontline melee healer would interest a lot of people.

    I'm pretty sure they're gonna go with the ones from other ff games before getting into unique stuff. But I'm 100% sure they will introduce one or two new weapons to the series, since every final fantasy has to bring something new to the table.

    I'm betting whips for Beastmaster.
    Gunblade for soldier/seeD/whatever you wanna call it.
    Hand-bombs for engineer/fusilier/cannoneer whatever.
    Dark Knight is already getting great swords.
    Machinist or whatever the new job is gets guns.
    Astrological gets tarot cards.
    Katana for samura.
    Berserker can get what OP suggested.
    Mediator can get megaphone (Cait Sith reference)
    Measures from FF12 to calculator/mathematician/whatever.
    Dual Shields to defender or Templar or whatever.
    Rapier for red Mage/blue Mage.
    Magical Orbs for Time Mage
    And for brand new weapons I would like to see the introduction of Tonfa to the FF series
