God damn umbrites!

They need to reduce lore by half so its comparable to the next step's shining clusters, or add a daily/weekly for umbrites, or add them onto Hunt-seals. Or they could add a "wonderous tails log" of sorts just for umbrite, each week a different set of tasks for an extra 5-10 umbrite.

Doing all roulettes for lore each day is exhausting, impossibly time consuming, and only leads to between 15-20 umbrites a week. Thats a month of playing every evening for hours on end non stop.

I was quite fortunate to be able to spam Antitower back when it gave 100 lore and Nidhogg NM (when there were tons of bonuses). As of now, the rate of lore earning is too crap to warrant umbrite pricing.

Farmed Aetherochemical Research Facility. 9 runs miminum everyday. I put it on PF in order to make it clear that we are going for speed runs. I did 3 runs in the morning, 3 in the afternoon and 3 at night. In order not to feel completely burnt out.

I mean, am I the odd one out or something? Gathering umbrites, for me, has been fairly simple. You gain lore naturally by just playing the game. It's crystal sand I've been having more trouble securing - especially with an unwillingness to pay out gil to buy the items that can be exchanged for it.

Unless you're using your leves for leveling other jobs, use them to loot Heavensward Leve Chests.

1x Amber Encased Vilekin = 1x Crystal Sand

There's RNG involved, but overall, its not a bad way to get sand. I've heard of people getting as many as 60 from 99 leves, and as few as 15 from as many leves. You want the normal leves as well, not the ones that consume 10x leve allowances. You just want the chests. Even the lowest level ones can have the chests spawn, and every chest is 100% Guaranteed to drop 1x Amber Encased Vilekin.

Second using the leves for AEV. I've been doing it the subpar way with the large-scale ones, but since it takes me longer to get Umbrites compared to Sands I don't see it being that bad for myself. Plus I have enough items from the raids to use if need be.

I'm on my 5th umbrite step, I dont really find it that bad.

It took me a couple of months, without the month and a half break I took in between, to get past that stage. My husband is on that stage now and I feel for the poor guy lol
