God damn umbrites!

Like seriously?! how is there not another way of getting umbrites. i've been going slowly for it and thought i'd work out how much longer it would take me.

i'm currently at 99/240 so to get to 120 i'd need another 21 umbrites
21 x 300 = 6300 Lore needed and thats only for the halfway mark!
for that i'd have to do 43 ARF runs which if each run was 19 minutes roughly would mean like another 13 hours just to get half way...

how on earth did people manage to power through this? it's just so boring :/ i get the feeling i'm not gonna get this done before the nerf comes in.

Edit: someones pointed out you get +3 for each thing handed in so only need 7 more umbrites for half way mark!

Take the grind in bites, set a *reasonable* weekly goal for yourself and work on it when you have time. If you find yourself wanting for motivation, umbrite is the last brutal step (currently) the following steps of singing clusters and light farming are incredibly tame in comparison.

Please don't grind it all doing the same thing though, you'll drive yourself insane. I've been at it for ages slowly and while it's boring as heck (and I'd like the space in my inventory back from all the Crystal Sand I'm holding) I'm trying not to actively grind it. Life is too short.

What he said, try to take it in small bites, else you will just burn out. It took me about a month to finish this step, I did regulary all my duty roulettes and threw in 1-2 extra ARF runs every other day. (Finished my umbrites just a day ago)

All people did is play. If you do the roulettes often enough you will eventually finish it. Also, after the halfway point you can get a RNG bonus that can be worth 1-3 extra points per which speeds it up decently.

Just keep at it and don't think much. I finally finished mine the other day after a few week grind. You will get there.

Don't farm ARF too much, that really burned me out fast running it several times a day.

Dailies + hunts (HW A & S) or a premade PotD mad dash party are the fastest way to farm Lore. It'll be over before you know it.

Yeah i keep doing PotD through matching but people tend to run around like headless chickens and whenever i try to get a proper group together they leave after like 1 or 2 sets of floors :/

Try not to make the relic your main purpose to play the game.

For example, I'm currently playing a lot of PvP. When my tomes get close to 2000, I go to Idylshire to get 6 umbrites. It's like I'm getting these umbrites for free because I didn't even try to farm it.

I did mine passively by just running roulettes that I would've done anyway. A much healthier approach to it. I did the same with Singing Clusters and I'm doing the same with the 270 step as well.
