We have been told so far in the MSQ that there is 2 things needed to summon a primal

1) Aether, all the death and Nidhoggs eye's take care of this
2) Faith or Believe in the Primal which if you look at the end cut scene to Baelsar's Wall the defeated resistance members were calling on Rhalgr for vengance

I would like to be suprissed for SE to put in another trial for 3.5 part 2 but I fear the fight will take place in a cut scene

Im of the belief we will see a primal incarnation of Rhalgr. Not the real deal, but what the dying members of the resistance cried for. It wouldnt even be the first time the resistance tried to summon him.

They had been taught how its done.

And he died suspiciously, like if he had told Ilberd how to do it and then got stabbed so he couldnt tell any others of Ilberds new knowledge.


But i must say, theres a part of me that thinks we wont see it at all as Omega will come and munch the ball of primal and run off.

2 points during Ilberts summoning seems to be important:

- a new god: so the result will be something completely new and what the Ascians wanted to get durin the WoD storyline. Rhalgr should be out by this as he is not "new".
- a god that don't need prayers at all

It also seems that the massacre was part of the summoning. So maybe it can give us a hint. Did you notice the "Answers" melody during the summoning?

The Aether cocoon summons the Twelve for the forming of the cocoon?

Rhalgr is one of the twelve?

if the new primal is Rhalgr wouldn't that mean he is being summons 2 times?

I don't think there will be any fight. I think Omega will turn up as the primal is breaking out and blow it to smithereens. Put it this way. Look at the fanfest video of the new zones and you will see the new zone on the other side of Bealsar's Wall has a mountain with a hole through the middle of it. I think Omega is going to blow away the primal and carve a scar across Ala Mhigo with its attack.

There might be a trial but I seriously doubt it will be against this primal. Its very clear that part 2 is going to involve everyone make a mad dash for Omega. if the WoL could take down this primal conventionally we wouldn't have had to have any sacrifices. Infact it would have made more sense to beat the primal newborn before it could gather more power.

We also know from the trailer that Omega is going to fire it's main attack and if not at the primal, who is it shooting at?

First: You can, in theory, have two copies of a Primal summoned at the same time, confirmed by Koji Fox in that, if there's a difference in the belief that you're summoning a Primal, they could be the same with a different personality (the example, a theoretical beast tribe that sees Ifrit as a kind lizard that gives children ice cream).

Second: The ritual doesn't summon the Twelve themselves. I mean, it could, but the ritual as it's made involves summoning the Twelve's POWER and then forming the Dalamud prison with it and finally killing the caster so they don't actually manifest.

With the ample foreshadowing it's much more likely the primal sealed is Rhalgr instead of Shinryu.
